  1. QUOTE(TLAK @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) I’m disappointed he didn’t ask him why it’s so F’ing smart to trade the most productive two way CF in the American League and two very hard to find LH pitching prospects for a $13 million 35 year old slugger who hit 7 homeruns in a season limited to 59 games due to injury, while letting go a $0.5 million 37 year old slugger who hit 12 homeruns in 34 games a injury season. Frank would have cost the Sox $10M
  2. 205IP 30HR 3.90ERA He can't control the # of games he wins, so I don't see any point in debating it.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 06:10 PM) Seriously and if it did I wouldn't do the homework. Than again thats basically how high school went for me. I knew I could get A's on my tests so I skated by without doing homework (I'd halfass my projects but shockingly I'm a really good writer and can bs like no other). Ya, you'd all be surprised at the fact that I pretty much always get A+'s on papers (I don't edit or even look things over here). I'm ready for some slams at Fullerton Honestly its a matter of if you think your kid is smart, cause i don't think there are that many people that do all their homework in high school. The ones that don't, as long as they know what they want to do and realize whats necessary to do that will be fine. Since high school, where I had a low B average (3.3 or something) I've jumped up to a 3.77 or so in college with one semester to go. It was just a matter of me being lazy cause I thought high school's only part was to have fun with friends and of course prepare you for college. I did enough for that to happen and than turned it up a notch in college (Cause that helps ya for the rest of your life). But you're not an engineer
  4. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 05:06 PM) When you are as intelligent as I am company is rare. Lonely at the bottom, eh?
  5. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) Seriously, I don't have kids, so I see that this hit a nerve with those that do. I also am not aware of poeple's history with Juggs, but some of the replies to him seem kinda judgemental and harsh. Juggs deludes himself into believing that he is a caring individual based on his compassion showed to loved ones. The problem is, Juggs displays this compassion at exactly the wrong time, in exactly the wrong way. The food references stem from a discussion about eating disorders. Juggs said something to the effect of "I dated a girl who was bulemic before, but I made sure she only threw up the bad/cheap stuff." He editted his post and ran away. This is the same situation. Juggs needs to grow a pair, tell his wife the facade is over, and cut the girls social life to zero. He thinks that he can fix everything, but he's just an enabler. He's making it worse.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 03:55 PM) AFter reading everyone's response, and asking myself if I would share my parenting techniques or mishaps on this board. I have come to the conclusion that Juggs is full of s*** and just trying to argue about something. I would never air this s*** on a public message board if this is what I was doing as a parent. You dont air your dirty laundry in public, and not on the internet. You are a winner. Now make sure you only throw up the cheap food.
  7. TIMO WAS #10!!!! The announcer said something about a PELOTA and then screamed NONONONONO! So I'm pretty sure Timo screwed up again.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 01:08 AM) No he is too old for BA to really care about him.... idonno if he is going to make it w/ the whitesox this is probably his best chance because even though id say a lefty would have an advantage if he performs well in spring training he might get a spot. If by No, you mean he was ranked 15th in the Sox system then you're correct.
  9. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) Well i'm off to the game against Minnesota, we'll show Iowa how not rush the floor after a home win. Take notes Jason I know this is just good natured ribbing, and we all hate the whole rushing-the-floor-so-i-can-be-cool-and-on-TV-and-I-am-so-going-to-the-ATOs-kegger-after-this-do-you-think-that-little-blonde-from-the-tri-delts-will-give-me-head-if-we-make-jello-shots, but I feel the need to point out the two times Iowa students have rushed the floor it was against the #5 and #11 ranked teams at the time. They're college students. The slightest thing can send a group of them into a frenzy -- I can remember a small riot started when I was at school because it was 65 degrees one night in february. "Hey, I don't need a jacket. Let's go outside, destroy some stuff, and get pepper sprayed by the cops" "Cool, I'm game." Rushing the floor is now only cool if you do it at your opponents home court. I would love to have seen 1500 Illinois students partying on the wildcat emblem at Welsh-Ryan last week. I would have given them some DAP for that.
  10. This is kinda old, but I missed a lot of them, so I figured most of you had too. http://www.southsidesox.com/story/2006/1/25/21741/8687 Sorry to pimp my site, but it was just easier to explain by including one link instead of the 15 or so on that page. And besides, it's good for a laugh.

  12. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) hot chicks thread? NO! Those are dominated by ridiculously untalented pop-stars and airbrushed calendar girls.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 03:37 PM) Could the middle 10 of the Big 12 possibly be a bigger clusterf***? There's a middle of the Big 12
  14. Well it's not like they got down by 17 with Davis using his players optimally or anything. (Ratliff got himself in trouble) Nobody should be surprised by the Hawkeyes holding a team to 37% from the field at home.
  15. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jan 24, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) I will go ahead and guess the top 5 minus #1, who I already know. 1.********** 2. Anderson 3. Broadway 4. Liotta 5. Sweeney Fathom, can you tell me if I am close? Too pitching heavy
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 24, 2006 -> 07:13 PM) Is anyone watching this? I had Fox on because of Seinfeld, and when I came back from eating, a Kelly Pickler? was on, damn. Are all the girls on the show this hot? I think I just fell in love. You're in luck Tony, some of them are from the area. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...dpost&p=1023033
  17. QUOTE(knowitall @ Jan 24, 2006 -> 07:06 PM) lumsden is the guy that everyone is leaving off their prospect lists hes coming off a surjury and who knows if he will ever regain that amazing arm that he had i hope he does for the white sox sake. If he is healthy he will make a impact at the major league level in 2007. He still needs a year to return to form. He has to be left out of the Top 10 during that time. He has the capability to be a top prospect, but he ranks somewhere in the 15-20 range with his injury right now.
  18. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 24, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) Bah, McCarthy at the top of the list would be pretty lame. Reread that quote, McCarthy pitched 67 innings.
