  1. I wouldn't have ranted if BMac had served up a HR there...http://www.southsidesox.com/story/2005/5/2...3/3297#readmore Here's something to think about RE: the Douchebag ozzie put in the game... Last season, Neal Cotts was put into a game with a lead of three or less 6 times. He escaped with the lead 4 times, in games that finished as Sox victories to record 4 holds, in 6 opportunites. Currently Vizcaino has 3 holds in 6 opportunites. In one of his converted holds, he allowed 2 runs in 1.1IP. This guy is a criminal. He's a f***ing arsonist. When put in a tight spot, he's escaped just twice in 6 chances without allowing a run. He's f***ing terrible.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) No, cause you shouldn't lose Viz for nothing and he has no options left. Viz shouldn't be moved down. If they are going to do something with Viz they better trade him. His season thus far has been nothing like he has pitched for most of his career. Although I guess when you look at his stats a bit more closely he only had 2 good years, last year and than in 2002. But the Sox have the best record in baseball, a month from now, than it may be time to move Viz and add a new reliever. Yes, It's an odd numbered Year. One-pitch Viz sucks. And the Twins win... The relievers that they used today... ERA 2.76 1.96 1.02 1.20 We can't match that. They won the game today for the Twinks. If ozzies going to manage like he's got a lights out pen, he shouldn't be handing the ball to guys with ERA's over half-a-dozen
  3. Edinger made 68% of his FGs the last 2 seasons.... Any think the bears are actually going to put up a better % than that next season?

  5. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 22, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) vizcaino: future mop up man. Yeah, I hear Charlotte has an opening.
  6. That's a lesson you learn early in the National league.... The 8th hitter better hit your pitch with 2 out... You want #9 leading off next inning. No excuse for a grooved fastball right there.
  7. Save the above... It's easier that starting new threads every day.
  8. QUOTE(BB2ZZ @ May 21, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) Collaro is still tearing up the league, three homers the last two nights. A grand slam two nights ago and a 500' shot into the wind last night !!! The Orioles brought up a guy from high A a couple of weeks ago, has Chicago ever done it ??? The Orioles brought up Fiorentino out of necessity... They lost their entire starting outfield. I can assure you that we would have to lose much more than our entire starting OF to see Collaro in a WS uni.
  9. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ May 21, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) i wish bmac would face the angels now that vlad is out but i guess he makes a second start against texas Who's seen him twice already, and hit him hard the second time.
  10. Bad News: Timo SUCKS Good News: We won't see him again today Best News: Frank should take his place on the roster in a couple weeks
  11. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 21, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) Ok thats a HUGE DP Now Dusty will have to either PH for Zam or lead him off Unfortunately, Z is a better hitter than anyone on the Cubs bench.
  12. I say TATOW all the time when describing a well hit ball. It's some onomatopoeia, that's the noise a well hit ball makes.
  13. QUOTE(FGarcia34 @ May 21, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) He got Danny Haren who is 1-5 with a 5.32 ERA, Joe Blanton who is 0-4 with a 5.08 ERA, Kiko Calero is 2-0 with a 8.68 ERA, and Kirk Saarloos who is 1-2 with a 4.79 ERA. Beane's master plan is failing right now. You're right, he's going to start maknig dumb trades now getting nothing in return.
  14. That was the original report on ESPN 1000 at 6PM too... I just inserted my own intuition, because levine said that BMAC was starting for Contreras, and I was sure that wasn't right. He later said that it would be for El Duque... There is some logic behind this, Contreras will now go on 6 days rest, as will McCarthy. The other way BMAC would have had a long rest, which he's not used too. That's one thing we did wrong last year, we jerked around the callups with 3 day, 9 day, 10 rests. It was royally f***ed up last year.
  15. QUOTE(FGarcia34 @ May 21, 2005 -> 12:32 AM) That is a good point but I still think he is worth getting if the Sox can manage to get him w/o giving up BMac or Brian Anderson So in one trade for one of his Aces Billy got two pitching prospects, and Juan Cruz and in the other he got one pitching prospect, a lights out reliever, and a stud minor league hitter (who's currently sucking this year) but we can get Zito without giving up either of our two best prospects? You're crazy.
  16. QUOTE(bogie @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:00 PM) Man, why against the Cubs? i don't like the fact that we have to throw someone out there in their first major league start against the Cubs. Don't we have other options? This makes us a big underdog Sunday especially against Prior. Dude it's the Cubs. They're batting like 220 in May with a .280 OBP. Well we got a couple of singles.... QUOTE(MurcieOne @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) I wonder what number BMac is gonna wear? 35
  17. WSI killed the thread... Heads you were the last response I was able to read... As soon as you said you had a source that you trusted, IT GONE.
  18. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 20, 2005 -> 07:17 PM) You're sure linking to us a lot lately, Cheat. I appreciate what you guys do. I wouldn't have the time or petience for it. I'm just not that interested in who wins or loses at the minor league level. I just pay attention to individual stats of a few prospects.
  19. http://www.southsidesox.com/story/2005/5/20/191929/793 I beatcha Jason.
  20. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 20, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) It is? No mention on the radio, WSI, or whitesox.com. Cheat says it's happening, and Cheat knows all.
