***Official Game Thread - Sox vs. Cubs 3/19/04***
Gene Honda Civic replied to Cali's topic in Pale Hose Talk
During the at-bat KW was talking about how he wasn't pulling the ball as much... Creditting the great coaching of walker--- Uribe worked the count to 3-0 -- was given the green light and turned on a weak pitch deep but foul -- the next pitch was the same exact pitch -- Uribe had seen it made the adjustment and CRUSHED it. -

My guess is simillar to a student close to us hear in chicago -- played at eastern Illinois -- finished 1st or 2nd in NCAA scoring for two consecutive years -- Henry Domercant? Oh yeah he wasn't drafted.

sox-r-us, As the self-appointed SoxTalk admission officer for the White Sox bandwagon, I regret to inform you that due to your recent negativity, I've been left no choice but to take drastic action. It is with a heavy heart I reluctantly revoke your bandwagon membership, effective immediately. There will be no refund. In July when you wish to jump back on the bandwagon you will be required to purchase a totally new membership. It is not guarenteed you will recieve a bid, however. You will be required to fill out all of the necessary forms and background information, and be subject to our rigorous selection process and interview. I thank you for your years of support. Please keep us appraised of all your your future endeavors. We look forward to hearing from you. The Cheat Self-appointed SoxTalk White Sox Bandwagon Admission Officer

Manhattan opened the tourny last season by putting a scare into Syracuse, who got the lucky draw of playing in albany.

That's why you haven't see me get on guy who aren't really fighting for a spot on the team.... The ones who pretty much have a spot secured, especially the pitchers, are finding out what work, and conversly(and maybe more importantly), what doesn't.
-
Are they at home -- That's a victory, if they have to go into Talahassee that's trouble.

I question scheduling a midterm during the NCAA tourny... I'm sick from work the next two days I went out tonight -- had a couple drinks -- not drunk -- Though I did get hit on by both a guy and a girl tonight, who when I first saw them, I thought they were a couple. Guess my gaydar needs adjusting. St. Patty's day brings out to many amatuers. I'll be drinkin tomorrow morning by 11AM -- Now that's professional drinking.

Final Four...who has the best chance
Gene Honda Civic replied to The Bones's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Just finished my picks in the two Soxtalk leagues.... In the yahoo! one. I've got: Kentucky Okie State North Carolina Conneticut With Okie St. beatin Conneticut in the Final in the ESPN on I've got Georgia Tech Wisconsin North Carolina Conneticut with Conneticut winning over Wisconsin(i picked some fun upsets in that one.) Jo jaspers!!! -
Another Shingo pic... Although I haven't seen him pitch yet, judging by the pictures I have seen, I think Shingo shows the ball earlier than most asian pitchers. That may be a reason that he has been getting hit pretty hard.
