sound like sour grapes to me... But that could be a good thing.. If you have 1 owner happy, and 29 others upset, change is likely to happen at somepoint in the future.

appearently she doesn't do much of anything... he took the time to include this disclaimer in very small type

SoxTalk Rolling Mock Draft(pick #14)
Gene Honda Civic replied to Gene Honda Civic's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
4 votes for a RB, and none for an offensive lineman? Does everyone here think that the reason for A-train's decrease in production the last two years was all his fault? All you had to do was watch the first game of the season to see what a woefully unprepared O-line the bears had. Granted, they improved throughout the year, but htey had only one way to go. For the record, I voted Gamble. I think they are going to clear up enough cap room to go after both a LT and a quality DT. The defense would be great if you add a run stuffer/pass-rusher and another lock-down corner to play opposite Tillman. The offense, I think, will, if they can protect the QB, be vastly improved. -
Asshat for sale. Let's see how long this one lasts... My guess is not too much longer..

Photoshop: Lasso, Magic Wand, Background Eraser, Also you can use (Filter:extract) but I don't like that one... IT always removes too much for me.
-
Hey PA... if you're using Photoshop, try using something called the Background Eraser.... It searches for the edges of an object, in a given area, It makes it alot cleaner and quicker to edit a pic.

The MVP thing last year was kind of odd... ARod had a down year last year... He put up much bigger numbers the two previous years, and didn't win the award. Frank also had monster numbers and didn't win in 2000... Winning the MVP last year was a combination of the previous years, and the lack of "likeability" of manny. Who had a better year, but wasn't even well liked in his own clubhouse, let alone with the voters.

Quick and Dirty photoshop........

I would argue with that... It's a given that the yankees have the most fans in terms of numbers. But how many of those are the casual fan. One who maybe makes it to 1 game a year. Best example... My best friend... Not a real sports fan... Grew up in the pits at drag racing events... Works for a small racing company... Cheered wildly when the cubs won the NLDS, Practically cried when they blew the NLCS... He only follows two Baseball teams, The scrubs and the spankmes... He couldn't tell you what the infiled fly rule was, define a balk, or know how to keep score at a baseball game. Let alone debate the most effective way to characterize a player's offensive or defensive performance, be it OPS or Range Factor... Sure he's happy the Yanks got Pay-rod, if he even knows. But a collection of "fans" like him hardly notice when there's no baseball. A single move , be it a trade, signing, or even a strike, isn't going to make a big deal to them. Sure this trade didn't ruin baseball for them, Nothing would, they don't know enough no really have it effect them. I'll take my Sox fans any day. They are perhaps the most knowledgable fans in all of sports. They question ownership & management, and make thier voices heard in terms of attendence, both good and bad.

Bears to make big cuts
Gene Honda Civic replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I'm probably the biggest critic of Angelo around here, And even I understand the fact that he'll likely cut some guys doesn't make him incompetent. Given the Salary Cap situation in football, and the way free agents are signed, coupled with Non-Guarenteed contracts, and this is what you get. Every team is going to release someone to stay under the cap. The guys named here are making way too much money for what they actually contribute to the team. Holdman is a decent starter, but he's paid like nearly a probowler. Daniels wasn't even being used as much in his natural position. And there's no way you can argue that Kordell should still be around... A name I'm surprised isn't on there... R.W. McQuarters. He's overpaid, lost his starting job, and only towards the end of the season actually contributed as a nickel back... I'm pretty sure the bears will draft CB in the first 3 rounds. And that should spell doom for RW too. -

He was quoted as saying it was hard to se Glavine in a uniform other than Braves last season. Maybe if they were both wearing the same colors, it wouldn't feel so wierd.

Depaul's finally starting to live up to expectations, but even reaching those, they're the 4th team in the conference... Louisville, Cinci, & Charlotte are all much better than them.
-
That commercial was at least 45 seconds Rex. ------------ In all seriousness...The Charlotte Knights make a swing very close to the Chicago area in early May... The Knights play a 4 game series in Indianapolis on May 4-7... And the Travel to Louisville for a 4 game set, May 8-11... Indianapolis' Victory Field is widely recognized as the "Best Minor League Ballpark in America". Tickets are reasonably priced ($8-12). Louisville also has a great park, and even cheaper tix ($5-8). Making a trip the on the weekend of the 7-10, you could catch a game at both parks. Plus you'll likely get to a see (Cotts, Reed, Borchard, among others)... Just a thought.

You are in HS and should be ashamed of yourself... There's no reason to be drinkin in HS. There are plenty of much more exciting things to be doing, like holding up the wall at the homecoming dance, or debating which movie is better, Charlies Angels 1 or 2.

If you charged, you wouldn't have anything to do... NO ONE would want one.
