thanks for the post Baggs, I wasn't able to listen, when I turned on 1000 they were takling to dave Duerson, about the bears hiring Ron Rivera The most surprising thing from the interview, filtered through Baggs, is the Thomas and Backman crap.... It seems like Kenny is trying to not look like the bad guy there. Backman is a great manager, but supposedly he made some UNMANAGERIAL remarks, maybe he's not the best fit within this organization, but for Kenny to say that he won't be able to work again is ludicrous. On the Frank stuff, seriosly what does he, or the team for that matter, have to gain from him bringing that s*** up? Keep it in house Kenny.

Ron Rivera named Bears DC..

Transcript from the Ron Rivera Conference call A can't believe I'm actually going to type this, but i think the bears got all of the three main coaching positions filled right... I think all three are an upgrade from last years staff... the most glaring being shea's hiring. This hire though, i think, can help bring back a "Monsters of the Midway" mentality to the bears that they've been lacking ever since Buddy Ryan left in '86. Can't wait 'til next year, Super Bears Super Bowl!!!!! -

he's obviously gathering up a collection of stories for you... there's clearly thousands of companies wh discriminate against jews... That's a big list to put together.

good point Baggs... but I still believe we have the best left handed relief in baseball.. It would be nice to see someone like DW come in and fill that roll flash had last year... Be a bulldog and grind out innings, come in ina tough spot, save the ocassional game... that's quite a luxury to have.

BBC news Obviously his job is done. CIA picks new weapons inspector Search for compatable guide dog underway. B) Edit-------------- After reading the articles this is a slap in the face... The replacement is the former UN weapons inspector. The same one who wasn't working fast enough for Bush. The same one who suggested that we not take action against Iraq until after a full investigation. :fyou Bush

Nuke, the point is, once you've opened the door to such things, where does it stop?

It was mentioned, But I think the best thing is that Wunch didn't give up an earned run until after he came off of the DL... We all know how good Damaso can be... Those two guys were the main reason I was against signing Guardado, back when we had that bogus rumor floating around.

no i agree with all but Christ killer... That's not an accurate description of you. You're not that old.

In the NFL draft, trading up, is usually not a good value. Unless you only have one specific need, or there is a guy like Mike Vike out there, trading up, will usuall end up hurting your overall draft. I can't find the draft value sheet -- thingee -- i know it was linked here before... But essesntially the values of the picks go down exponentially... making the first picks over-valued in trades, and the last ones, undervalued. The best bet in a draft is to do what the Patriots seem to be doing every year, collecting multiple picks in multiple rounds. Then you can afford to move up to get that one perfect guy for your team, because you're not losing out on too much, you still have lots of picks left... That being said, I'd like to see the bears draft linemen with thier first two picks..
-
yeah they would be my second bet... He's undersized, wasn't even recuited to play college ball, but he has no fear, he's a hard hitter, and he scares people who think about going over the middle.

Yeah I just woke up though I had a rough one last night... That was the first thing I saw was I4E on the main page in the Ireal Wall thread..I had to post a response, with proof to back it up.
