CW -- I asked as soon as this topic was posted if I could pick in "waves". Dan and Alex didn't have a problem with it. so.. I had a few sentimental picks go wrong too, and even one anti-sentimental pick go against me(I picked against Iowa, so that if they lost I would feel better by at least getting a point here.) I picked Michigan for no apparent reason, I even bet a freind of mine who's a UM grad that USC would win. and I picked Purdue only because I read an article about UGA allowing alot of sacks. I changed my mind too much on New Years eve, in the eleventh hour. If I had just followed my initial thought I would have been in even better shape.

Don't Underestimate the rest of the Big Ten. Ohio St, will be Ohio St -- at least 9 wins. Iowa, has been picked 7th or worst for 2 straight years, they have 21 wins in the last 2 years..including 2 over Michigan. They'll be about the same. a little weaker because of key losses @ RB, K, SS, WR -- at least 8 wins Minnesota should be a legitamite top 15 next year, even without the QB that O-line is awsome. -- 10 wins Purdue, is returning a ton of it's defense, plus thier QB -- at least 9 wins Wisconsin -- always plays a terrible game early, and one amazing game in the big 10 season.. It could be vs. Michigan. Michigan St -- 2nd season under John L Smith... should have some improved continuity -- They're always capable of beating Michigan. That's 6 of 10 posssible Big Ten opponents that could be ranked in the top 25 going into the Big Ten season. Don't think that michigan can just show up and walk away with another big 10 championship.

I was going to say the same thing... I always root for the big ten in bowl games... After Minnesota's win the other day, the first thing Glen Monson said was that he hoped the victory set the table for the Big Ten to get on a run in the Bowl season. Big Ten Football is a fraternity, no matter what team you play for. Year after year, you hear the same thing out of coaches mouths during the bowl season. They may beat up on each other during conference play, but as soon as that's over, they want every team to be sucessful.
