Wow, I went out at about 8:30, and i get back home at 4:30, there's 9 more pages added to this thread. There's no way i can read through them all now. can somebody give me a sumation?

too bad you're in the wrong division, 1-AA. they have thier own playoff system.

Just Updating the score. AT ALABAMA... at halftime Bama leads 9-5....

I'll admit that NIU has a great team this year and that they would most likely beat the Illini, but that doesn't mean they deserve a BCS bid. Maryland is overrated and Alabama is solid but not great. If NIU was to face a team like OU or Miami they would be run off the field by the end of the first half. Turner would probably struggle to gain 50 yards against Oklahoma's D. I was saying that having an undefeated team, from a non BCS conference, would ruin the system. and hopefully lead to the end of the BCS

I'll be pulling for them. If they win tonight they have a serious shot at running the table, and blowing up the BCS(bull-crap-system). They have a chance albeit a small one. I'll be in Dekalb next Saturday to watch them dismantle the clones. (sorry Soxheads)

I'm hoping michigan can come back too. But there's no way they can with thier current play-calling. They need to give the ball to Perry. The Offensive line is giving Navarre tons of time but he can't put the ball where it needs to be. That line is the best in College football, and if carr takes his head out of his ass for a minute, he might find he a has a hiesman trophy candidate in the backfield to hand the ball to.

The Bad News: - We still have to hear this kid The Good News - He signed a contract to be used as Frank's BP bat, since aluminum now outlawed by MLB.

I think the ship's Captain (JM) guided the team straight into the heart of Hurricane Isabel.

Just illustating the point that this team needs to learn how to play some small ball. they out hit the Twinkees in every game. Ok they tied in the second. Yet they found a way to lose every game, holding the lead for a grand total of .5 innings. f***ing Pitiful :fyou

Does Anyone understand why COLON didn't plunk Jones when he came back up after he took that curtain call. I mean he took a curtain call in a 4-2 game in the THIRD!!!! THIRD INNING!!!! 6 more innings to be played. I mean I thought this team was deflated, but that was HUMILIATING. Not the outcome, but the lack of PRIDE. We were in a pennant race you can't let your opponent show you up like that, Especially after Dustin Mohr's comments last week. Any self respecting manager would have odered his pitcher to bean that guy the next time he was at the dish. One more reason JM has seen his last season on the south side.

I didn't like the Botch trade from Day 1. Wells looked solid. I didn't like the Ritchie trade from Day 1. Keep KW away from Billy Beane and any pitchers this offseason. Goof I agree with you completely. Botch had a higher ERA even last year, When we hated Foulke. He even said he only had 12 1-2-3 innnings in 93 innnings of work. The numbers tell you that's not a smart trade. I said the Ritchie trade was going to hinge on Fogg.. He started in his first season. We got screwed.

in a word YES

What a long way we have come. He DOES strike fear in the heart of the TWINKIES. I was excited about getting him, though i thought he would get about 12 wins in the 5 spot . Theank god for CY LOIZA

There's 13 games left in this wonderful season. 13 games in 13 days. Here's the breakdown: 3 games @ Min 3 vs. KC 3 vs. Yankees 4 @ KC Pitching matchups for the Minnesota series look like this: Loiza vs. Radke Garland vs. Rogers Colon vs. Loshe I like our chances. We don't have to see Santana's nasty stuff. I think we should at least take 2 of 3 in Minnesota. The only matchup I don't like is Garland vs. Rogers. Kenny Rogers is a soft tossing lefty, something we've not hit very well. JG will have to step it up to give us a chance here. The Managing descision of the year is weather to give DW one more start. If he goes on Satuday @ home vs. KC, that would leave 8 games left, twice through a 4-man rotation. Each of the big 4 would only have to throw on 3 days reast once. The Final series would close like this: EL - JG - BC - MB This sets up better for the playoffs. But, I think the only way JM uses this scenario is if we are able to take the series in Minnesota. However, if JM skips DW He could throw EL on the final day of the season. This scenario would mean EL would throw 3 times on limited rest, while the others make 2 short rest starts. The final series woud look like this: JG - BC - MB - EL It's likely that JM would only resort to burning everyone if we somehow lost the Minnesota series. In Minnesota's remaining 13 games, they have 10 left vs. Cle & Det. Realistically I only expect them to lose 2 or 3 games in those 10 games. That puts them at 87 or 88 victories, minus our series. If we win every series the rest of the year; 2 of 3 in MIN, 2 of 3 vs. KC, 2 of 3 vs. NYY, and 3 of 4 @ KC. That puts us at 9-4 down the stretch. 89 victories, quite possibly tied with Minnesota. Who with the addition of one victory vs. the SOX have 88 or 89 victories. TRANSLATION>>>> SWEEP THE TWINKIES!!!! We need at least a 2.5 game lead on them after the series to be at all comfortable. GO WHITE SOX!!!! I know that I used the terms "us" and "we" extensively above. I know that I do not play for the White Sox. But, I feel like I have so much invested in this team, it's almost like I do.

Music Firms, DJ Offer to Pay 12-Year-Old's Fine Thu Sep 11,10:41 PM ET By Andy Sullivan WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Several Internet music services and a disc jockey have offered to reimburse a New York woman who paid $2,000 to settle charges that her 12-year-old daughter illegally copied music online. P2P United, a coalition of "peer-to-peer" song-swapping networks, said on Thursday it was trying to locate Sylvia Torres so it could pay the legal settlement she reached with the Recording Industry Association of America (news - web sites) on Tuesday. Rochester, New York radio disc jockey Brother Wease also offered to pay Torres' legal bill, and online music retailer MusicRebellion.com said it would allow Torres' daughter, Brianna Lahara, to download $2,000 worth of free music from its industry-sanctioned site. However, the would-be benefactors all said they would not extend their offers to the 260 other individuals who face RIAA lawsuits for copying music through Kazaa, Grokster and other peer-to-peer networks. "It seems fitting that P2P United is willing to pay Brianna's settlement fees since it was their members who induced her infringement in the first place," said RIAA spokesman Jonathan Lamy. Lahara, a Manhattan honor student who offered Madonna (news - web sites)'s "Material Girl" and some 1,000 other songs through Kazaa, has emerged as something of a poster girl for those who denounce the RIAA's legal campaign as heavy-handed. 'BULLIES' "Out of all the millions of people who have downloaded, some girl in a housing project in New York City has got to come up with two grand?" said Wease, who offered to help through his charitable children's fund. "I just feel that these people are bullies," said Grokster President Wayne Rosso, a member of the P2P United trade group, which offered to pay Torres' bill. "They're like the show-business version of the Taliban." Lamy said the recording industry was not targeting 12-year-olds. The only information it had when it filed the suits was the name and address of the Internet account holder, he added. "The objective of this campaign is not to win a popularity contest, but to communicate a message of deterrence so people realize there can be consequences to this illegal behavior," Lamy said. Rosso said the industry should try to work out a solution with Grokster and other peer-to-peer networks so record labels can be paid for the billions of songs downloaded monthly. One solution could be a flat, per-song royalty rate similar to that paid by radio stations and Webcasters, he said. Lamy said a flat-fee approach would be impossible because it would have to encompass movies, books and other copyrighted material traded online, as well as take foreign users into account. Traffic has remained steady on peer-to-peer networks since the lawsuits were filed, officials at the networks said. RIAA members include Vivendi Universal's Universal Music, AOL Time Warner Inc.'s Warner Music Group, Sony Corp (NYSE:SNE - news) (news - web sites).'s Sony Music, Bertelsmann AG (news - web sites)'s BMG, and EMI Group Plc (news - web sites) .
