Buhrle gave up his last start so Loiza could go for the mexican record. But that was because we were already out of it. The Rotation would have gone Loiza, Colon, Buhrle, Garland. Minnesota starts every year on fire because they don't play anybody. They play michicagn next week.. thats a loss.. Wisonsin. Loss... Iowa Loss... I'm sure there's others. They are better than most years, But they are always over-rated. After wathcing that game yesterday, I thought the most impressive unit was the Michigan Offensive line. Navarre had all day to throw against a really good front four of Iowa. Which raises the question even more about the whole punting debacle. if they can block on pass situations why not in punt formation??

He was a big time winner everywhere else he went. When he came to Manchester he took at team that was 0-10 and finished the season 4-24 and had them undefeated in the national championship game within 3 years. At SW Missouri St he took them to the big dance for the first time in their history IIRC. He has brought a lot of talent to Iowa, but injuries have just killed them, along with the Pierre Pearce scandal. I'm a Hawkeye fan and there's no way i'm as optomistic as you on this one. There is an air of trouble surrouinding that team. I don't know if Alford has control at all. I agere WSF99 there's no way Iowa finshes high this year. But I hope they prove me wrong.
