  1. Not even Hahn will sign him for $18M, thinking if he has no alternatives would take the $1M buyout, perhaps $10M plus a $1M-$2M option. If not, they'll get another 35 year old on their last deal. I personally hope he is traded and never pitches here again.

Sexual misconduct, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual harassment - https://dailynorthwestern.com/2023/07/08/top-stories/former-nu-football-player-details-hazing-allegations-after-coach-suspension/ Racism - https://dailynorthwestern.com/2023/07/10/sports/former-nu-players-describe-racist-environment-in-football-program/ The entire AD department should be removed with systemic changes implemented to ensure students are protected and this never happens again. - https://dailynorthwestern.com/2023/07/13/sports/faculty-call-for-systemic-change-within-athletics-department/ Congratulations to the student journalists who helped protect future athletes from suffering the same fate as those suffered under Fitzgerald, Foster, Mike Polisky and other Northwestern senior athleitc staff.
  3. Cease Arb $8M + Kopech $1M Guys nobody else wants (Lynn, Hendricks, Cueto, others) $7M-$10M ($24M total). They likely won’t sign three end of line types, but definitely likely they sign 1-2 unless they are doing an Oakland like tanking job. They pissed away $40M-$50M annually while tanking on veterans.

  5. Jerry rejected a neighborhood plan in the 1980s to incorporate the neighborhood and have large parking garages to minimize the impact on the community. Screw handing another penny of taxpayer money to this gluttonous greedy billionaire. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/the-white-sox-ballpark-in-chicago-that-never-was-and-could-have-changed-history/ Jerry maximized profit charging $35 for parking. Jerry to fans, taxpayers, and displaced businesses and people - screw you,
  6. Just wait until after the tanking trades. I was hoping they would broach the worst attendance at the new park (1999 - 1,338,851), but they will likely do so in 2024 if Hahn remains as GM. Glad there have been two cancelled games so far (straight DHs replacing), hoping Jerry has to eat 2-3 more home games this season. Sox fans should also root for the following teams, to sink Hahn further into the bottom five records during his tenure (2013-2023). Royals need to finish within 11 1/2 games of the White Sox to remain above the White Sox. Hopefully Colorado, Baltimore and Cincinnati past the White Sox, and Detroit and Miami make up significant ground. MLB Records (2013-2022) entering 2023 25. Chicago White Sox 700-817 0.461 26. 7. Possibly, though what are the odds he exceeds 10 starts?
  8. This The Sox have no good "young guys" under 27 except for Robert Jr. Full stop. None of these guys including Eloy is capable of consistent 2+ fWAR seasons (minimal range for average MLB starters). None. Marco Paddy is responsible for the two best White Sox hitters this decade, and all Jerry wants to do is squeeze money out of his budget. 9. I am honouring a solid player, some here seem to dislike, but he has had to put up with a lot of bullshit playing for the White Sox, and has done so without complaint, for my 25th win of the day on July 14th, 2023. Andrew Vaughn went 2 for 4 on this day.

Does not include days I tied for first but for whatever reason was placed second / awarded Silver:

    • 3/23/21 (7 bmags)
    • 9/11/22 (16 Fathom)
    • 9/19/22 (13 Balta)
  10. Narrator: They could not. This was the worst played game since the late April / early May losing streak. Touki was the bright spot, nice I guess Tim and Andrew each had two hits. Benintendi's ninth inning single the lone other Sox hit. The Debacle Continues.
  11. Lucas Luetge was DFA'd in May, sent to AAA, back today. See if the Sox can score on him. 10.24 ERA.
  12. Tim and Andrew with two hits a piece. All others 0.
  13. I believe they are bringing up the 5th starter from the IL for one of the starts. I'd start Lucas against Quintana, probably the Sox best chance to win a game with the LH on the mound and being rusty with no starts The Sox have crushed him in the past (.891 OPS, 6.43 ERA).
  14. Shaw should be DFA'd, he has absolutely nothing this year. His FIP is over 10 at this point, ERA at 14.54.
  15. I can't see the Sox winning a game this series, the Lucas start the likely best chance to win a game before traveling to Minnesota. The Sox will face Quintana on Wednesday for his first appearance of the year.
  16. Wonder why Lucas isn't listed as a starter in New York as of now. Are they looking to skip him a turn?
  17. Nice getting out of that jam. Great outing, now take him out so he can start in 5 days.
  18. I hope Oakland sweeps Minnesota, Texas wins their series.
  19. is someone warming up? Touki has over 80 pitches, Len is working alone and hasn't mentioned anyone warming up. Edit: As if on cue, Len just said there is action in the bullpen (Brian Shaw). Should have gotten someone going when they were hitting, as his season high is 85 pitches, which he is now past.
  20. Perhaps we are all dead, living in hell and doomed to watch this organization for eternity.
  21. If the Sox lose tonight and win every single game through July 30, they are still four games under .500 at the deadline.
  22. Second GIDP for Grandal. Wonder if he'll finish with an OPS over .600. Wonder if Hahn will give him 2 years $30M this offseason.
  23. Jim Foster was the source of this abuse. Half his staff and team left after a single season. Players weren't open to disclosing injuries or work with trainers for fear of retaliation. A player died under his watch at his previous school which paid over $1M settlement. It's all in the articles written this week.
  24. God only knows how the Sox worked Kopech the last few weeks. Should get some work in before his next start to lock down command, give him Zavala for the love of God so he can throw pitches with confidence they will be blocked/caught if he misses.
