  1. ^This. Indeed. When a guy is challenging you physically, wagging a finger in your face, you need to stand your ground, on or off the diamond. Before tonight, I hated Minnesota the most, but Cleveland just tied the ballgame and have runners on the corners. Let Jose and that entire city sit there and stew owning the longest winless World Series streak, with little to no chance to reverse the curse. They are lucky Veeck bought, integrated and brought a World Series Championship to Cleveland in 1948, or their streak would be over a century and growing. And f*** Tom Hanks while we are at it.
  2. Drake Laroche put Robin and Rick Hahn in simultaneous headlocks until Kenny went down to the clubhouse and freed them both.
  3. The Sox (and Guardians) can appeal suspensions and play tomorrow (managers and coaches cannot), but with the early start time, they are likely not able to bring in anyone from Norfolk (where Charlotte played a doubleheader tonight) to fill in for Moncada (already out with his back, he should be shut down) and Eloy (already missed three starts this week), plus we will see if Tim has concussion protocol. Might see this lineup tomorrow: LF Benintendi CF Robert 2B Vaughn DH Sheets 1B Grandal C Zavala RF Colas 3B Remillard SS Andrus Bench: Trace Thompson Bench Emergency Availability: Anderson; Jimenez; Moncada
  4. Eloy's injury at the 1:18 mark center slightly upper portion, believe either someone stepped on his toe or he sprained his ankle. https://www.mlb.com/video/benches-clear-in-cleveland Closeup shot: Rest in Peace
  5. Jose headbutted Tim's junk/cup and then started wagging his finger in Tim's face. Tim defended himself. I always blame the out of line player in these instances, be it Robin Ventura 30 years ago and Jose Ramirez tonight. If Tim slid into Jose Ramirez, bitched, got up and wagged his finger in Jose's pork face, I'd feel the same way toward Tim.
  6. Ventura wouldn't stand a chance. Perhaps when Nolan turns 100.
  7. There are zero current domestic markets better than having the second team in Chicago. Oakland would be the best market available if they were open (the Giants will block any new team, they also blocked a viable A's stadium option). A few teams moving to Nashville would make sense, perhaps Charlotte or Montreal, and that's pretty much it. The Las Vegas market is weak, they will not draw in the same way their first team (Golden Knights) or NFL Raiders draw, their TV revenue will be very low, I still think there is a decent chance something in Oakland is worked out, and MLB uses the Nevada handout for an expansion team. What passed in the legislature last month (small Tropicana site) was a much smaller footprint than their original plan (Wild Wild West land with massive real estate development), though obviously that could also change over time.
  8. Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox White Sox Undercard: White Sox Main Event
  9. For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of Pedro Grifol. f*** Mike Sarbaugh as well.
  10. She made the right decision. Look at that pork face.
  11. Ramirez provoked this entire incident, f*** that punk ass b****.
  12. Len and DJ says it looks like Eloy got hurt in the action.
  13. Totally worth it!
  14. Fight Card Tim Anderson vs. Jose Ramirez!
  15. Noah is the exception to the rule. 8/5 Noah Syndergaard -0.5 bWAR (1-4 6.68) (at Cleveland) 6/20 - Nathan Eovaldi 3.6 bWAR (11-3 2.69) (vs. Texas) 5/5 - Hunter Greene 1.5 bWAR (2-4 3.93) (at Cincinnati)
  16. Sad when you factor in the significant increase in attendance this season. 20% + Percentage Increase in Attendance (2023 vs. 2022) (Last World Series Win) - Major League Trade Deadline Acquisitions Traded Away 28% Philadelphia (2008) - Rodolfo Castro; Michael Lorenzen 27% Cincinnati (1990) - Sam Moll 26% Cleveland (1948) - Kole Calhoun & Noah Syndergaard Traded away Aaron Civale; Josh Bell; Amed Rosario 26% Pittsburgh (1979) - Out of Contention Due To Forever Tanking 24% Tampa Bay (Never Founded 1998) - Aaron Civale 22% Baltimore (1983) - Jack Flaherty
  17. Congratulations Luis Robert for becoming the 23rd player to join this exclusive club! 18. Take That Haters!
  19. All I know is the Sox were a Top Five Farm System, possibly number one, prior to their "multiple championship competitive window", and that translated to absolute dick at the MLB level. If you have the same owner and front office types like Hahn running the show, this will happen with the next batch of prospects.
  20. @Texsox has relocated, but that does not mean many MLB teams have in recent history. Bud Selig and owner co-conspirators destruction of the Montreal Expos plus shady Loria and Nationals creation is the lone franchise move over the past half century. There are many threats, primary to shake down corrupt politicians and gullible fans / voters. 21. Need to shut him down, surgery or bust next season. Not as bad as Benintendi, the richest and weakest FA signing in White Sox history.
  22. Nothing fake about Tim Anderson's dabbing in the second half.
