Venable was a good manager for the old Sox 100 + loss team, but is too flawed for a contending first place team. IMO.

I agree , at least replace him. Sending Montgomery in with short Fenway left field was not wise with just one out. We would have had the bases loaded with one out.

Will is a by the book manager. The book says do not put the winning run on base, but you have to go outside the box sometimes, like with Abreu being a hot hitter. IMO.

Definitely yes. He is one of our best hitters, and you need to develop him as an everyday player.

Hard for me to understand why Quero was sent down, and we keep Romo who is worse instead.
