The Guardians game when we were up 3-1 in the 7 th and Cairo brought the rookie Jimmy Lambert to protect that lead, and proceeded to walk the first two batters who both eventually scored. All thatwhileThe more experienced and better ReyLo was grabbing some bench in the bullpen.

Letting TLR manage this season with his heart and drinking problems and advanced age, was one of the biggest unforced errors in Sox history IMO.

Thanks to you and the Soxtalk team for allowing us to vent our frustrations this awful season. Keeping this frustration inside would have been more stressful. Now I move to confront the frustration with the Bears and the Hawks, not sure about the Bulls. Have a nice off season. Looking forward to next Sox season without TLR to kick around.

Maybe we should have had a bullpen game with all our scrubs like Ruiz, Diekman, VV instead.

Visitors out homered us and out slugged us ( helped by our terrible OF defense). We gave away our home field advantage with our power outage.

Cairo mailed it in with the lineup and leaving Martin in too long. Cairo should not be our next manager. We don’t need any more punters after TLR led MLB in punts already.

Started with the AAA lineup and leaving Martin in too long when our bullpen has 6 months to recover.

Martin got hurt by hanging breaking balls, like most Sox pitchers lately, particularly on home runs.

Seby Zavala has also pretty much disappeared.

One of the worst lineups of the season. Harrison batting 5 th and Payton 6 th is a bad joke. This is a AAA + lineup. No swan song for Abreu, Grandal, Eloy and Leury no where to be seen with his high salary. I guess Cairo know s he is a goner and doesn’t care if the Sox finish at just .500.

Looks like Cairo was not as fond of Leury as TLR. I don’t think our record would have better with Leury in the lineup.

By the way shouldn’t the arrow on the G-rate logo be changed to up rather than down?

Andrus is a very good base runner as well, and has been a good lead off hitter.

Diekman another terrible Hahn trade, particularly withBummer coming back. We could have used McGuire.

Hahn’s original sin was the bad Kimbrel trade that led to the bad Pollock trade. Madrigal was not expensive, and we already had a closer.

I guess some guys realized that they need to impress and keep their jobs. Too late though.

TLR should have retired before the season with his drinking and heart issues combined with his advanced age. It was irresponsible of him and the FO and JR to have allowed this disaster to happen.

Sox are consistently mediocre.

What is the point of Payton? He has looked bad at the plate and in the outfield. Is he considered better than Helseley?

Is there a financial reward for finishing second?

I believe Cueto is our starter that has gone deeper into games. Magic pixie dust is still there.

Agree. Also I hope they don’t bring back Sox Math. It is very tedious.
