  1. Looks like they are looking for the anti TLR.
  2. That was not a criteria for the TLR hire. Glad they finally learnt something.
  3. The new Jeff Bezos coming up.
  4. Sheets has improved more than Vaughn and helps that he is a lefty. Vaughn has not looked good defensively even at first base.
  5. Disappointment that TLR did not resign before the season with pacemaker issue and another undisclosed heart problem, plus the DUI at age 78. It was irresponsible from TLR and the FO.
  6. Because the Sox were out homered at home. Didn’t take advantage of homer friendly GRF. Had too many power outages at home.
  7. Too bad it is one year too late, but we will still happily take it.
  8. With Leury serving them drinks.
  9. Particularly combined with not signing a good LH outfielder.
  10. Looks like they think they are on South Beach instead of SoCal. On the broadcast one of the announcers said it was the Don Johnson look , presumably Miami Vice look.
  11. Beats me. He looked terrible at the plate tonight.
  12. Payton was completely overmatched by Clevinger. Not a good sight.
  13. The tightest strike zone I have seen all season. Must have called at least of handful of balls that clearly had the plate were called balls. They need to be held accountable also for this failed season.
  14. If TLR goes, JR will get Leury a companion ticket out of town together.
  15. Normally the 8 th inning has been our Achilles Heel.
  16. The first two innings epitomizes the Sox season. Failure to move the runner to third with no outs in the first inning cost us us a run, and failed to score with men on second and third and one out in the second. Padres turned a routine base hit into a double running on our LF and this cost us a run.
  17. Too bad we don’t have the option of forfeiting the remaining games.
  18. Eloy just wouldn’t take a walk from a pitcher that had been wild and with the bases loaded. He saw at least 5 balls in this AB and grounded into a double play. Stupid and par for the course.
  19. Is there a financial payout for finishing second?
  20. I don’t know either, but can’t be worse than TLR.
  21. The tumor took too long to be removed and some metastasis occurred. A shame.
  22. Cairo lost me with that move, a big unforced error to bring a rookie to protect a 3-1 lead-in the 7th.of the most important game of the year. This game closed the curtains on the Sox season. I was in favor of retaining Cairo before this game, but not anymore after the 7 losses that followed. Send Cairo back to Egypt for all I care.
  23. Best news of the month so far. Wish him well in his retirement in Arizona or Tampa, away from the Southside.
  24. Another embarrassing loss. A 2 hit shutout of the Sox with 14Ks. Someone needs to be held accountable. Is there no professional pride and character in this team?
