  1. Self fulfilling prophecy. This game has been a microcosm of all the Sox ills this season. The DP /high ground ball rate, the Ks swinging outside of the zone, poor defense, failing to get a run in from 3rd with less than two outs, walks, terrible base running, lack of hustle, etc.
  2. Yes indeed, and making it worse it was with a man at third less than 2 outs, needing contact. He should be benched. You can’t swing at 2 balls in the dirt in that situation. There has to be a price to pay.
  3. Looks to me he thought it was a home run and didn’t hustle out of the box admiring his hit. Pitiful.
  4. And that is his main pitch. He was throwing fastball cookies with a 2 strike count.
  5. He did tonight.
  6. Neither should Lambert who has been pitching practically everyday.
  7. Lots of extra base hits. Good inning that took the bullpen out of play to blow the game.
  8. Hit it the opposite way, and the ball bounced off the right field wall in the corner several feet back and the RF had to come back for the ball.
  9. Jimmy is our new Leury coming back as a pitcher.
  10. Hanser Alberto is a clear and present danger on rundowns. He already had taken down TA on an earlier game. Fortunately, today he more than made up with his bat, but still…..
  11. Colome is now our new Diekman.
  12. Is Tim not coachable or our coaching sucks or both?
  13. I think he is still better than Keuchel last year. IMO.
  14. That was a lot of dough for an outfielder that does not hit homers.
  15. Problem is that Romy and Sosa have sucked even worse.
  16. This says a lot about the Sox lack of quality prospects and back ups. Team depth is shallow.
  17. A Sunday lineup on a Saturday.
  18. Wish he comes back soon. Our D at third has been suspect at best.
  19. Grifol also looks like a low energy, laid back manager. We need an ass kicking, high energy manager instead to maximize output from our talent. IMO.
  20. Main reason we lost was the failure in the 8 th inning to bring a runner from 3rd, and a very fast one at that, with no outs with three ground balls on the infield. Two of our weaknesses exposed here, impatient hitting not waiting for the right pitch to go the other way, and swinging at the first pitch, and bad roster construction with high ground ball rate and lack of fly ball hitters.
  21. Don’t have to be a rocket scientist to notice that TA always try to pull the ball with RISP and go to the right side with no one on. Should be the other way around.
  22. Our hitting coach had to coach Tim before his costly at bat to not pull the ball and go to the right side , and to wait for the right pitch if possible. Everybody in that disastrous inning that cost us the game showed no patience and swung at the first pitch.
  23. Elvis is the new Leury. Pedro must like rock and roll and the King.
  24. Billy should have the moniker Formula One Billy.
