Defense left a lot to be desired. Hanser giveth and Hanser taketh away twice. His bad throw to third led to Anderson getting hurt. Andrus another error. Sheets committed two mistakes on the same play. We seem to have many players playing out of position, and the Defense other than Moncada and Robert very shaky.

I have to eat crow on this.

Failed to move the runner to third with no outs, and a lefty bat at that. Poor.

Hanser is just as bad defensively as Burger. But Burger is a much better hitter, so might as well play Burger as 3B sub IMO.

Home Plate ump pulled an Angel Hernandez today. The hit ball on Andrus and the called third strike on Grandal were indeed dreadful. Give it a little more time.

Diekman unexpectedly resuscitated on Easter Sunday.

Would have liked to PH For Colas with Robert. Colas is a rookie against a tough reliever. IMO

I hope Pedro does not the follow the TLR school of not pinch hitting players who are on scheduled rest days. We may need for Robert to come into this close game later.

Still he is looking better than Giolito and Lynn.

Is Andrus our new Leury?. Hate this formulaic scheduled days off. If you hot, you should stay in the lineup IMO.

And I may add no more unexplainable TLR decisions, no more Leury,no more 150 different lineups….

I feel a lot better about this team so far. Games are more exciting than under TLR. There is more action, more running, more hitting , better defense so far.

Sox leading the MLB in hits so far. Now we need to straighten out Giolito, Lynn, and the bullpen and get Eloy back, and then we are on our way to a great season IMO.

At least we got the most hits inMLB so far, and scoring lots of runs, but we do have the worst pitching staff in the majors so far.

But nothing as compared to Eloy who apparently is made of brittle glass.

He is not helped by our bullpen, particularly long relievers. Diekman has already cost us 2 games.

There may not be a competitive second half by the time we get there.

Giolito was not only pitching meatballs but let Reynolds, their hottest hitter beat him up.

Giving up too many runs and homers. Lack of lefty starter and reliever. Diekman has to be DFA. Tough to lose when you get 9 runs.
