I feel a lot better about this team so far. Games are more exciting than under TLR. There is more action, more running, more hitting , better defense so far.

5 tool player performance so far.

He is the new, blonder, Paulie in all respects.

Sox leading the MLB in hits so far. Now we need to straighten out Giolito, Lynn, and the bullpen and get Eloy back, and then we are on our way to a great season IMO.

At least we got the most hits inMLB so far, and scoring lots of runs, but we do have the worst pitching staff in the majors so far.

But nothing as compared to Eloy who apparently is made of brittle glass.

He is not helped by our bullpen, particularly long relievers. Diekman has already cost us 2 games.

There may not be a competitive second half by the time we get there.

Giolito was not only pitching meatballs but let Reynolds, their hottest hitter beat him up.

Giving up too many runs and homers. Lack of lefty starter and reliever. Diekman has to be DFA. Tough to lose when you get 9 runs.

And his 3B defense is superior. Would you replace him at 3 rd with Jake Burger who is a sieve? Take my chances with Yoan.

Vaughn is susceptible to the strike out and the double play ball. Would not bring him up in the lineup for the time being.

Main improvements this season so far, besides no TLR, is that we finally have a running game activated, more lefty position players, and better OF defense. Some issues still linger from last season: lack of clutch hitting, mediocre bullpen, impatient hitters that won’t take a walk.

Andrus refuses to take a walk. He swung at two balls with a chance to walk and load the bases in the 8 th.
