  1. I don't know. I do know that Rodon threw a total of 42.1 innings between 2019-20 and made it up over 120 innings this year. Kopech is at 63 innings this year.
  2. If you order a shirt online, the shipping date is October 8.
  3. I do not want to face the Rays bullpen in a short series.
  4. FanGraphs Playoff Odds at the All-Star Break/Today: Padres 91.1% / 0.2% Mets 77.7% / <0.1% A's 49.0% / 0.2% Yankees 41.7% / 56.0% Braves 7.5% / 75.3% Cardinals 2.3% / 98.0%
  5. So the Sox are the 5th team to clinch a spot in the postseason, but the first to do so by clinching a division title. Houston has a magic # of 3 in the West and Tampa Bay has a magic # of 4 in the East, with Tampa holding a 3 game lead over Houston for the #1 seed. Boston is now 2 games clear of New York in the wild card race, with Toronto 1 behind the Yankees and Seattle 2 back. Oakland is 4 back. In the National League, Milwaukee's division clinch has been put on hold by the white hot Cardinals, but they have locked up a playoff spot and their magic # to clinch the division holds at 3. The other divisions provide two chances to have a race go down to the final weekend, with Atlanta up by only 2 over Philadelphia in the East, and San Francisco up by 1 over Los Angeles in the West, with the Giants and Dodgers already locked into the postseason. St. Louis has put an absolute strangle hold on the second wild card spot, now up 4.5 over Philly, 5.5 over Cincinnati and 6 over San Diego. Weekend series with the biggest impact have the Yankees at Boston, Toronto at Minnesota, Pittsburgh at Philly and Atlanta at San Diego.
  6. Why bother bringing Hendriks in when you're just gonna put Burr out there for the 10th?
  7. Sox please either score no runs or at least two. Don't need to be pitching any more innings than the scheduled 7.
  8. It's the second game of a doubleheader right after clinching. I expected nothing but a garbage lineup and garbage pitchers, and the garbage pitchers only giving up 3 runs (so far) is better than I expected.
  9. That may have been his intention, but it wasn't necessary. There was no play at the plate even if Goodwin isn't heading to 3rd.
  10. Leury is the only backup infielder so he won't see any time in the outfield in the playoffs. Hamilton is going to be a pinch hitter/defensive replacement only. There may not be any use for Goodwin, but there aren't really any better options for the roster. If not him then you're keeping someone like Wright or Burr as a 13th pitcher.
  11. Foster starting the 6th, likely with Burr backing him up, and the Ruiz has the 7th.
  12. You've gotta have 26 guys on the roster. Someone's gonna have to be there who doesn't really deserve it.
  13. I'm not even sure if those guys even put uniforms on for this game.
  14. Just coming back from injury so I'm OK with him not playing center.
  15. Yeah, if you're going to put that lineup out there, does it matter if you lose 1-0 or 6-0?
  16. Might as well have Foster pitch 2 innings since he's going back down at the end of the day.
  17. Yaz wanted to get on base but he didn't want to stay there.
  18. The trivia answer to who has to be pitching opposite Plesac before Cleveland will get a hit.
  19. Not to try and make everybody feel old, but I was 5 and fell asleep. Got woken up by yelling and screaming at Thome's homer.
  20. I think they both make it, but I doubt Goodwin sees much, if any action.
