  1. I'm doing 90% of my classes from home but have to go in for a test tomorrow at 1:00. Should be home right around the 7th-8th inning.
  2. Wittgren pulled after a sac fly makes it 2-0 Royals.
  3. Royals got a bases loaded walk in the first and still batting with an early 1-0 lead.
  4. Tomorrow's game changed to 12:10 to try to beat the rain.
  5. Leury walking is such a rarity that the umpire had to note the date and time.
  6. There are 4 guys to come back: Engel, Vaughn, Tepera and Marshall. First two guys gone are likely Fry and Burr. Romy probably the 3rd guy and Wright the last. Abreu can get days off, but I don't know that you want him out 10 straight days this close to the start of the postseason.
  7. With Perez chasing HR and RBI titles, KC figures to play him every day vs CLE, so that's nice.
  8. Today in the AL playoff chase: KC @ CLE, 3:10 & 6:10 TEX @ NYY 6:05 TOR @ TB 6:10 HOU @ LAA 8:38 SEA @ OAK 8:40
  9. They wouldn't schedule playoff teams for makeup games unless it affected seeding.
  10. Since we don't have a game thread yet . . . Engel and Marshall have both been eligible to come off the IL for a while and Vaughn is eligible today, yet no roster moves announced. Tepera is eligible to be activated as early as Friday.
  11. My mom had a COVID patient last night who refused to be put on a ventilator because she read on Facebook that ventilators are killing COVID patients. Not kidding.
  12. College GameDay is going to be at Soldier Field Saturday.
  13. What if the Sox clinch in the first game of Thursday's DH? How would that work? Can't really do the full-blown clubhouse celebration with another game to play in 90 minutes.
  14. Yes, and if you're curious like I was, the Bears play at 3:05 in Oakland that day. It's also the date of the Chicago marathon.
  15. I hope the Sox clinch at Detroit. It's been a while since anybody clinched anything in Detroit.
  16. 9/20: Magic number = 4 Detroit was eliminated Sunday, joining Minnesota and Kansas City. Cleveland could be eliminated as early as Tuesday. Sox remain 3 back of Houston. In the Wild Card race Boston is in the first spot 1 games ahead of Toronto in the second spot. New York and Oakland both 1.5 back and Seattle 4 back. Over in the National League, the Giants are in front of the Dodgers by 1, with both having clinched at least a WC spot. St. Louis holds the 2nd WC spot, with Cincinnati 3 back, Philly 3 back (Sunday night pending) and San Diego 3.5 back. Philly only 1.5 behind Atlanta in the East (again, Sun night pending).
  17. Also 13-6 vs Minnesota. They deserve to be part of that group.
  18. Did they forget to mention Hamilton pinch ran for Sheets? First I notice was when the camera showed him flying around 3rd.
  19. It's amazing how much Gavin has been walking. Yes, he has a good eye but for the most part they aren't even close pitches.
  20. 2-5 vs HOU, 4-3 vs OAK, 3-3 vs SEA, 2-5 vs LAA, 4-1 (hopefully 5-1) vs TEX The only one of those that sticks out based on the teams record is the Angels.
