Take out Sergio and we revert to s***. I'm amazed KC has a guy who can bunt. Unlike us.

Some teams can bunt. It was called for there and they got it done. f***.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:20 AM) I don't get why you don't like it. Why can a righty get lefties out but not the other way around? I just feel like throwing a lefty closer in there has righthanded hitters licking their chops and there are a lot of righthanded hitters out there. That's why I asked if I was a moron or if anybody else shared the same concerns.

I don't like lefty relievers going more than a batter or two. Does that make me a moron? Sale ... starter. Sergio ... closer. Thornton ... set up. Crain ... set up and sometime closer with Sergio. Fixed.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:07 AM) Part of the problem with the bullpen is having a lefty as the closer. It means you have to carry a guy like Ohman. Our performance here in extra innings is sucking big dog.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:00 AM) One thing that I really tire of is what appears to me to be this mentality in the late innings that someone has to be a hero and hit a dinger to win the game... rather than simply try to just take the normal approach and string some its together. Yep, it's definitely frustrating when guys just don't get on base.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 02:53 AM) GAMES IN APRIL ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT AS GAMES IN SEPTEMBER Nobody can dispute that. I think most of us want a great April and May.

One more out please Mr. Crain. Nice job on the first two hitters.

Huge crowd of 12,000 on hand for this competitive game.

That 3-1 pitch actually looked hittable.

Yes, it's early, but six runs shoulda been enough to beat the KC's tonight IMO. We still might win, but Soria is nasty.

Gordon and Butler both feast on Sale fastballs. Anybody worried about Sale's stuff?

Big league hitters can hit fastballs, folks.

4/5/11 GT: Sox @ KC - 7:10pm CDT - CSN+
Sale's body is the total opposite of Jenks. Bobby big; Sale not an ounce of fat on him. Pencil thin.

Lots of lefties in our bullpen. Sale eighth; Thornton ninth.

Not a great feeling about the KC series...
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 05:17 PM) What would be wrong with a split in KC? Nothing. Come home 3-2, and have a 6-4 or 7-3 home stand. That would be great. I'm ready to take 'em one at a time this year rather than think what we have to do in a certain series. The past season and a half have driven me batty trying to figure out what we need to do in this series and this roadtrip, etc. One at a time, baby.

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) I abhor off-days. I didn't mean to be an offday asshole. I was just wondering aloud about the fact a skinny big leaguer, just a few days after the conclusion of spring training can look awful on the first attempt at the simple act of bunting, then bunts into a triple play. Huge mojo killer. We lead 1-0 and can have second and third and one out. Arguably a killer in trying to sweep the Tribe. I get the reasoning, just am ready to sign a petition to deliver to Jerry that say no more bunting until big leaguers actually can pass a bunting test. Lexi obviously can't bunt except to drag bunt for a hit like somebody said. Peace.

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
I immediately thought of what the game thread would look like. I normally back Ozzie, but at some point you just have to stop trusting these big leaguers to put down a bunt. I mean unless that was just one bad at bat ... my god his bunting form was embarrassing. Stop.The.Bunt (not that it's not called for). s*** it would have been nice to have men on second and third with one out and a one run lead. Not bases empty after a triple f***ing play.
