  1. Nice job Fred. He's kind of fun to watch pitch. He pitches confidently at least.
  2. Cmon Freddy, bear down. AJ doesn't throw many guys out.
  3. You are assuming a lot about him as a person. How do you know he's not relaxed? There were reports in Toronto that he slept before games and was lazy. How do we know he's feeling pressure? Some newspaper guy needs to do a long piece on him, or maybe I missed it. As far as his first error and getting ripped ... has treatment of him on here been THAT bad? People are just pointing out the guy has contributed nothing during his first go round with the Sox. Is that so cruel? Nobody's been that harsh on him on this board.
  4. Are you sure about Rios? Do you have a link to a story on his attitude?
  5. From tonight's A's debacle story on the AP: After taking consecutive series from the Yankees and Angels earlier this summer, the White Sox promptly lost two of three to Cleveland. They are 15-17 against the league’s three last-place teams — Oakland, Baltimore and Kansas City. “That’s White Sox 2009,” manager Ozzie Guillen said. “If you want to compete in any season, you beat the crap out of teams with a losing record and you fight against the other ones. We do totally opposite of what we should do.” What is your take on Oz's comment?? Good news on Peavy as well. NOTES: If White Sox RHP Jake Peavy has an effective, pain-free throwing session Wednesday, he could start as soon as this weekend, pitching coach Don Cooper said. Peavy, acquired from San Diego at the trading deadline, has been on the DL since June 13 with an ankle injury. He was just rounding into shape when he was struck on the right elbow by a line drive Aug. 29 in his fourth rehab start. ... Suzuki is batting .320 on the road vs. .220 at home. ... White Sox 3B Gordon Beckham missed his third straight game with a sore side and Guillen said he expected to rest the rookie Wednesday, too.
  6. That loss was kind of embarrassing. We need Beckham back. Our lineup is very fragile. Not to pile on Rios, but it's obvious Oz isn't thrilled with the guy. He played Kotsay again, which is good, since Kotsay kicked the hell out of the Bosox. Not even Kotsay could help us tonight.
  7. Only the Tigers have had a decent year in our division. Man ... Minnie fans have to be disappointed at their final year in the dome. Minnie had a pretty horses*** season as well.

He's nasty once in a while. He's certainly not even close to reliable.
  9. Just about every pitcher we threw out there got hit. It shows just because next year we start anew doesn't mean we are going to be better than .500. What would it take to get a reliable bullpen next year?? (I realize our starter got completely abused tonight as well).
  10. Oakland has 20 hits tonight; my god.
  11. Hudson/Freddy will battle it out. The loser should be middle relief. Torres loves to pitch from the stretch, anyway, so he might as well be added to our relief corps.
  12. Well said. I could agree with that. Wow Squert, one of the worst players in Sox history? He was one of the MVPs of our postseason run.
  13. Nice. 30 HRS and he's pretty good on defense. He's the king of scoop.
  14. Is Paulie close to 30 home runs? That would be cool if he could blast 30 this year.
  15. Randy is so bad it's laughable. Gimme a bat NOW! p.s. He's gonna get killed by a line drive soon.
  16. I never thought of that, but could be spot on!
  17. Wow somebody else hates those 2? Cool.
  18. Nice ERA for Randy No Neck Williams.
  19. Wow, just checked in. Sox getting clobbered by another bad team. Has any Sox team ever tanked so badly against bad teams?? Generally we do OK at home against very good teams.
  20. How bout Mike Sweeney for DH and Joe Crede for utility infielder? The bad back brigade. This thread didn't need to be so long. The answer to the thread's question: "So he could pinch hit for the Dodgers and bat once a game til the WS when he DHs against righty pitching."
  21. Pods has proven if he's healthy he's a good hitter. Not a good defender though. And a sometimes s***ty baserunner. He deserves to come back, though. He's had a very very good to great season with the Sox.
  22. Good to hear, Chris. Maybe Bosox nation are a kind sort of fan.
  23. The best news is we shut up all those red clad Bosox fans who invaded our stadium. 3 of 4 is a nice way to shut them up. I wonder if there were any or many fights between Sox and Sox fans.
  24. I disagree. The turf makes a big difference. Ask any doctor. Joe Crede is a great great baseball player and I will forever owe him a debt of gratitude for the title in 05. Go Joe!!!

Time to try somebody else in his role. Please find a way to dump him.
