  1. Thome's plan was to hit a home run which it is every time he steps to the plate in every game he plays.
  2. So you guys are saying don't even try for a triple when it is a standup triple cause you might fall down and be called out at third for the first out of an inning? My god.
  3. Notice he was quiet during that 7 game homestand when we hit the hell out of the ball. He hates OZ and KW and Jerry. They shouldn't let him write any more columns on the Sox cause it's a personal vendetta obviously against all three.
  4. Lost fan I love the double, a couple more feet and it would have been a key homer. But Hawk and DJ insisted it was a gift triple. It's a big a blunder as the many others we're mentioning. That said, I'm sure he would have stranded at third so it probably doesn't matter.
  5. Crede can't bunt. He would have popped it up. We as a team cannot bunt. Why do you want Crede to bunt when he can't bunt? If he'd hit a homer we'd be happy. We needed one more HR. OC's woulda done the trick.
  6. I also wasted an entire afternoon. I agree with your first sentence. This should have been a 6-1 lead late. Lilly is laughing right now. As far as Cubs pull out a lucky win. Uh, here is how the game will be seen by the masses in the coverage of the game ... The Cubs never gave up and blasted 3 home runs to beat the Sox at their own game. The Cubs showed heart in not giving up and beating the White Sox after arriving so late after their series in Florida. The Cubs thrilled the fans with an amazing walkoff. Ramirez is a hero. It's gonna be all how great the Cubs are, not how lucky the Cubs are. It's a bad night to be a Sox fan. Good luck at the bars tonight fellas. Try to avoid getting in fights; not worth spending a night in jail or losing some teeth.
  7. Even when you can walk into third with a triple as Hawk and DJ said? Nice. We wouldn't have scored him anyway, unless we hit a home run, that is.
  8. chw2 we don't move runners over. That's not our game. We can't bunt. Anderson had a triple and didn't take it. We don't bunt. We are a classic AL team and hit home runs. If OC would have hit his we probably would have won.
  9. Not when we bash home runs or leadoff doubles. Any other time it's inept and maddening. We deserved to lose only because we had Lilly on the ropes so many times and could have broken the game open and kept them reeling after their 3 losses to the Rays.
  10. Bad day to be a Sox fan. That's the perfect Cub victory for those assholes. Two homers after they sing along with Mitch in the seventh. Beat us on a homer on a day we played unaggressive baseball and couldn't hit in the clutch. Had a chance to keep the Cubs struggling after the Rays' sweep. Now we woke em up. Avoiding a sweep would be a miracle now.
  11. So f***ing predictable. Left so many f***ing runners on base. Party like it's 100 years Cub fans. This series is OVA.
  12. He didn't swing. Party like it's been 100 years Cub fans. We woulda beat you at the Cell today.
  13. On the road, the ball kicking off wall he had to try for triple.
  14. AJP is ornery enough to get a base hit. Will he?
  15. Horrible baserunning. Horrible coaching.
  16. OK Sox, swing for the fences. Hopefully one of ya can hit a HR and we might win with Bobby.
  17. Yes, second guessing is fun. If our bullpen did what it normally does and Uribe scored everybody would say we're great and Oz is a genius. Instead BECAUSE OF OUR LACK OF BEING ABLE TO GET A KEY HIT BESIDES A HR we are probably going to lose this game and everybody can take it out on Oz and be happy.
  18. We don't bunt, Bearcat. We don't hit and run. We hit home runs. That is all we do and we hit one too few today.
  19. If the Cubs lose I'll be happy. We have wasted so many scoring opportunities and had this game under control until their happy singing seventh inning bulls***. If they win, it's a game we gave away and yes we will be swept. Bank it. Hope it dont happen.
  20. You all realize if we lose today, pencil in the sweep don't you? It'd be too frustrating a loss. And it'd wake up the Flubs like we woke up Det.
  21. This is shaping up to be either an efficient victory -- just enough home runs, good defense, good pitching. Or it is shaping up as a dramatic loss late. We've had some bad at bats with two outs and men on and Cubs are within reach for late dramatics.
  22. Dumbass fans were leaning to catch that deep drive. It's simply amazing how we are only a home run hitting offense.
  23. We needed that to clear the fence. We ain't gonna knock him in unless we hit a dinger.
  24. s***ty at bat for veteran Joe.
  25. Hawk smells an out. Silence.
