  1. Is it gonna be 9-4 soon?
  2. Bye bye Jose for today. You got nothing out there.
  3. We had a chance to shut thse fans up yesterday, didn't get it done. Now Jose is being lit up.
  4. This is like a bad dream.
  5. Screw baseball's unwritten rule. If you got a stand up triple, which Hawk said he had, take the triple. Nice hit, though. Embarrassing how we couldn't hit with men on base.
  6. They play in Wrigley; Wrigley is like Fenway to outsiders. The thing you said about people moving to Chicago jumping on the bandwagon, so true. That will be so funny if the Cubs play in the Cell a couple seasons. The crowds will be just like White Sox crowds. Tourists won't want to watch the Cubs at the Cell. It's a ballpark thing. We'll always be second banana.
  7. Tomorrow's column on there now rips Oz for taking out Danks. Fair enough. But he also blasts Oz for calling Wrigley full of rats. If you watch the video, Oz is playing the media who are laughing their ass off. It's low key funny stuff. Mariotti says he's a disgrace ripping historic Wrigley again. Ozzie goes on to call it a museum. He says, 'lots of fans like coming here; oz doesn't like to come here.' That's not in his column. How can this paper allow the vendetta to play out? Telander calls out Mariotti and the column is killed; Mariotti calls out his comrades on TV and the Trib writes bout it. Will Mariotti face the music?? Yu kidding me? No way. Oz you can tell loves when he has the media laughing; what's wrong with baseball being fun. Mariotti who may or may not have been there for the interview completely writes Oz being negative ripping Wrigley when Oz is having fun and being fair. Easy column to rip Oz for the Danks move; fine. The other stuff is ridiculous. Kudos to all other sun times sports writers; I think they do a very nice job.
  8. Cmon people who were at the game. Give us a feel for it. Fights? Smell? Were Sox fans mocked when the unthinkable happened in the ninth? Does the park suck? Hot chicks there? What was up today??
  9. Guys and gals, we are a home run hitting team. That's it. Does anybody agree wtih me on this? Our offense is about home runs and I guess to a certain extent doubles. But when we hit doubles Friday they meant nothing. We don't move runners much; we hit home runs. Thome and Konerko who on paper hit a lot of home runs are out of the lineup. So we lose road games and will lose the next 2 unfortunately. Does anybody agree with me we should not talk about our offense, merely our power? We have no offense except home runs. If the ball was live and guys were still on steroids we probably would have run away with the division by now.
  10. Anything can happen in this one. One would think, on paper, high scoring. So that would mean in reality Cubs 9, Sox 3, cause we don't always score when I think we're gonna score especially on "the road." It'd be a major accomplishment to win after allowing the Cubs to wake up from their funk and do all that celebrating on Friday.
  11. The center fielder you desire is named Aaron Rowand. Go ahead ... flame me for that opinion.
  12. Now that's the truth, Wanna.
  13. Thome's plan was to hit a home run which it is every time he steps to the plate in every game he plays.
  14. So you guys are saying don't even try for a triple when it is a standup triple cause you might fall down and be called out at third for the first out of an inning? My god.
  15. Notice he was quiet during that 7 game homestand when we hit the hell out of the ball. He hates OZ and KW and Jerry. They shouldn't let him write any more columns on the Sox cause it's a personal vendetta obviously against all three.
  16. Lost fan I love the double, a couple more feet and it would have been a key homer. But Hawk and DJ insisted it was a gift triple. It's a big a blunder as the many others we're mentioning. That said, I'm sure he would have stranded at third so it probably doesn't matter.
  17. Crede can't bunt. He would have popped it up. We as a team cannot bunt. Why do you want Crede to bunt when he can't bunt? If he'd hit a homer we'd be happy. We needed one more HR. OC's woulda done the trick.
  18. I also wasted an entire afternoon. I agree with your first sentence. This should have been a 6-1 lead late. Lilly is laughing right now. As far as Cubs pull out a lucky win. Uh, here is how the game will be seen by the masses in the coverage of the game ... The Cubs never gave up and blasted 3 home runs to beat the Sox at their own game. The Cubs showed heart in not giving up and beating the White Sox after arriving so late after their series in Florida. The Cubs thrilled the fans with an amazing walkoff. Ramirez is a hero. It's gonna be all how great the Cubs are, not how lucky the Cubs are. It's a bad night to be a Sox fan. Good luck at the bars tonight fellas. Try to avoid getting in fights; not worth spending a night in jail or losing some teeth.
  19. Even when you can walk into third with a triple as Hawk and DJ said? Nice. We wouldn't have scored him anyway, unless we hit a home run, that is.
  20. chw2 we don't move runners over. That's not our game. We can't bunt. Anderson had a triple and didn't take it. We don't bunt. We are a classic AL team and hit home runs. If OC would have hit his we probably would have won.
  21. Not when we bash home runs or leadoff doubles. Any other time it's inept and maddening. We deserved to lose only because we had Lilly on the ropes so many times and could have broken the game open and kept them reeling after their 3 losses to the Rays.
  22. Bad day to be a Sox fan. That's the perfect Cub victory for those assholes. Two homers after they sing along with Mitch in the seventh. Beat us on a homer on a day we played unaggressive baseball and couldn't hit in the clutch. Had a chance to keep the Cubs struggling after the Rays' sweep. Now we woke em up. Avoiding a sweep would be a miracle now.
  23. So f***ing predictable. Left so many f***ing runners on base. Party like it's 100 years Cub fans. This series is OVA.
  24. He didn't swing. Party like it's been 100 years Cub fans. We woulda beat you at the Cell today.
  25. On the road, the ball kicking off wall he had to try for triple.
