  1. I have let ARow go. I just was reminded of him cause he hit well against the Royals here last weekend. I like BA sort of. So far I don't like Swish.
  2. What's with the love for Masset? The guy I saw gave up a run in two innings vs. the Cubs or was it less than 2 innings and he pitched awful to his last two batters, steering the ball outside like he was scared. Yuk on Masset. Go Javy.
  3. At least he hit it off the wall. He's shown some ability. I can't help it, despite the numbers the stat people on here throw out, from what I've seen I can't hop aboard the Swish bandwagon yet. Dare I compare him to my favorite Rowand? I better not start that up. Go BA! Keep improving!
  4. Great post and good job Spat with the arrest story. That is so lame drenching that woman with beer. Ridiculous. Nobody goes to the park and pays the big bucks to get drenched. What a great tradition to throw beer on the shrine field after the win. Stupid drunks.
  5. What if that shot he hit off the wall vs. the Cubs would have been a homer or if he'd stretched it to a triple and scored? He'd have been one of our few bright spots in the Cub flameout. To those who hate Anderson I say ... do you also hate Swisher? Swisher has sucked. Oh wait, Swisher draws walks, I forgot. Swisher never gets a key hit, but some love him and hate BA who appears to be eons better than a year ago.
  6. If the Cubs are that special, they'll kill us again next weekend. We shall see. I agree they are very good, but don't forget they've not been so great on the road lately. If they pick up Sabathia look out. It's a marathon though. I really thought after the Rays series they might come back to Brewer, Cardinal status. We shall see.
  7. I don't think they looked better in game one of the series. I disagree. Danks had their number; Oz panicked and took him out of the game. And our hitters failed miserably to build on the lead. Cubs were not better that day; we choked that one away on the field and in the dugout.
  8. The Twins proved one butt kicking doesn't have to put you in the tank. You'd have thought we buried them for good; what do they do, but respond. Hope we have the same spirit as the Twins after we kicked the s*** out of them.
  9. Dye did well I agree; I don't know about AJ. He hit a lot of weak grounders. Maybe he got more hits than I remember. We looked like a team that missed Thome and Konerko (the good Thome and Konerko, not the ones that sometimes suck).
  10. That is a ridiculous statement. Not just cause his name is Grady not Gardy. Give me a break. Lots of things happen. You can't point to one thing like that. Hey in 1967 if the White Sox had not had their heads up their ass the last 6 games of the season they might have won the WS that year. Look it up. s*** happens. I make a lot of dumb statements, but yours is as bad as they come on this board.
  11. Cubs deserve credit; we deserve to be ridiculed. Cubs were reeling after the Rays' series and we had 'em where we wanted 'em in Game One. Or I should say Danks and Dye did. Then came the implosion and the rest is history.
  12. Oh and the purpose of the post. Thank you White Sox for ... ruining my weekend. I know you don't care but I watched every game and it was hell. I know ... poor me.
  13. Exactly wanne. I tend to agree with your posts. It was obvious after Game One.
  14. I really thought we were a better team this year and deep down refused to think they'd sweep us this weekend. Now that we looked horrible in all three games with the exception of only Danks (who else gets a passing grade, maybe Carlos?), I deep down wish I would feel we are capable of sweeping them in the Cell to get even. I will say Friday's game again will be the key. If they beat our dysfunctional team in Game One, you are right, they may sweep us again. Unfortunately we have some games before then. Guys have to step up and beat somebody on the road.
  15. Everybody on the White Sox team should be embarrassed the next 2 hours til all the media departs with the questions. They should be thoroughly embarrassed. After that they should forget it ... they were a complete disgrace, yes, but now it's over. Time to try to rebound yet again. They've done it in the past. One of these times they are not gonna rebound and start freefalling. They either start getting consistent or look for the freefall. What a joke of a weekend. But it is OVA. On to the next series.
  16. Nice throw.
  17. I realize we're a first place team but I wouldn't be against a trade, any trade at this point. Just to change the karma of this bizarre streaky season a bit.
  18. Hopefully Bobby will be pitching a lot next weekend racking up some saves versus these Clowns.
  19. Maybe we'll make a trade with the Dodgers while we're out there.
  20. They're going to let him pitch a complete game against us? WHy not? Save their bullpen.
  21. We shoud have tried to make outs all weekend and maybe we'd have gotten hits. It's been that bad. Now I know how the Astros felt when we swept them in the WS. Can we rebound and beat these assholes next weekend?? Three more of these would really be bad. They'll be loose as hell after kicking the living s*** out of us at Wrigley. It will take some balls to win the first game of that series.
  22. You know what, Dotel is garbage, I agree. Line of the game by the play by play guy: "Dotel FINALLY" gets out of the inning. Geez what a pathetic lost weekend. Only hope is for the team to pretend somehow this weekend didn't exist. Too bad they have to do all the postgame interviews further burying them and mocking them. They deserve to face the music, though.
  23. Sweet, the next president is a Sox fan. He said his all time favorites are Baines and Fisk.
  24. Brian we proved with our play we have no balls.
  25. Hitting him would be meaningless at this point. How about getting him out with our excellent pitching staff and bullpen?
