  1. Does everybody in college wear their hair like that nowadays? Interesting.

Hurts to lose on a four-hitter by Javy. Oh well. Hope he keeps his head up and realizes it's one of those things. Can't win 'em all. Gotta come back and beat that hack they are pitching tomorrow.
  3. I kind of like him in the limited games I see. As long as he has a job in some capacity, radio or TV I'd think he'd be happy. Money is money.
  4. Yes we want him back. This winning without him should fire him up as well. It still sounds like he's a ways away from tonight's game reports. It sounds like he is at least a week away if he has to do a minor league rehab. Let's keep winning w/out him then welcome him back as he hits some immediate bombs. From the AP story: White Sox 1B Paul Konerko reiterated his strained left oblique felt better after taking batting practice for the second straight day but was not sure when he would start a minor league rehab assignment. “I don’t think it’s all my decision on when I’ll go,” he said. “I think it’ll be my decision on when I come back because I’m the only one that’s going to know exactly how it feels in the game.” Konerko said the oblique started to flare up after about 20 swings, just as it did on Tuesday, but he shrugged that off as “that last little bit of scar tissue you have to break through.” ... Ozuna started at third for Joe Crede, who insisted his surgically repaired back is fine and that he just had a day off.
  5. OM Gosh. AJ with the bomb. It can't get any better than this the past couple nights. Was Hawk beside himself with a great call??
  6. What do you guys think of how streaky the Sox are? Either we are worldbeaters like we are again or we are in the tank. I hope when we do lose (I hope it's after we rattle off 15 in a row) we somehow gain consistency. Maybe that's impossible with this team. I'll take first place either way.
  7. Should be interesting. I think we'll get hosed and only have two. I'll go with Carlos and AJ. Just have a feeling. Dye might make it as well. I'll say two of those three are in.
  8. There's no reason to hope for a rainout. If CC beats us, good for him. Like somebody said, a funky DH date late in the season could screw us just as much. What if we lost 2 then? It's a marathon season; bring on CC even if he one-hits us.
  9. Any link to Lexi's homer off anywhere?? Thanx.
  10. That's a great way of putting it. My apologies to the internet gods for hating on OC and Swish for a long time. Always had faith in Mark.
  11. Wish I could have heard it. Wise and OC and all the others you mentioned. Fantastic stuff. Congrats to KW.
  12. OMG, no matter what happens this season that win will be special. OC has done very well of late, but now he is a true member of the White Sox. Wow. I mean he has to feel good after being a true hero. Alexei?? This guy needs a nickname if he doesn't already have one. He is amazing. Danks?? Wow. Now we're on a wild win streak again. Keep it up Sox and when you finally do lose, remember you have a helluva team and no more slumps. Go SOXX!
  13. My grades around the horn AJP - A minus. Hall - B. Paulie - D to D-minus. Alexei - A; Uribe C-minus. OC - B (nice nice comeback from slow start) Crede - B minus (wouldn't argue with a B after surgery) Carlos - A Swish - C (he's heating up and might vault to a B before long); Anderson C (don't understand the hate). Dye - A Thome - C minus to D-plus. Wise - incomplete. Floyd - A-minus. Danks - A minus. Mark B. Javy - B minus or B. Jose Contreras B. Jenks - A. Dotel C. Linebrink A minus. Thornton - B. Boone Logan B. Ozzie A; Kenny Williams A.
  14. I don't understand some's hate of Anderson. He's contributed to some wins this year. He's not that bad.
  15. Looks great; as always, thank you.
  16. We often suck against no name lefties. Maybe we can hit a name lefty. Like to see the guys go to the opposite field. Bend down and hit it where it is pitched. Should be interesting. Our guys have been pretty hot at home. Can we give this guy a loss or is Lee destined to win the Cy Young this year?
  17. We gotta face 2 more lefties? My god. Great win, Sox. Way to prove me wrong, Swish.
  18. Tigers are scary. Twins are amazing. I think Detroit is the team to beat and will probably win the division. Hope I'm wrong.
  19. IMO it's too early to scoreboard watch. I just want us to win series after series.
  20. Maybe Anderson will hit a bomb tonight vs. the lefty.
  21. Crede saved the Sox ass with that diving stab of the liner the other day. And BA looks like he has potential. Anybody else think he looks like Mickey Mantle in the face?
  22. Not really. You've seen the Sox performance vs. lefties. A lot of them get healthy vs. the Sox. That said, hope Carlos hits a couple bombs.
  23. Hilarious. We thumped Dumpster and probably would have done the same to Lilly. The home field thing is crazy.
  24. Joe must be loving Thornton's heater and performance of late. And Linebrink's effort yesterday. He was smokin. Best ever? I don't know. I will say one thing: If he's right we'll win the WS. Teams with the best bullpen ever are in good shape.
  25. That's what Oz said in the Trib. How can you not love this guy? For all who blast him, they should praise his moves in this series. Great sweep, Sox. It took talent and some balls to win on Friday after the Flubs swept us in Wrigley and had nothing to lose entering this series. Then Saturday was a nice victory in a game we could have lost, but didn't. Tonight was as great as last Sunday was bad. Mark, Quentin, Anderson, Thome, et. all. I don't care what anybody says. Anderson is getting better. He contributes at times now and that wasn't the case during his first disastrous stint with the Sox. WIth Minnesota good and Detroit now playing like everybody expected, we still could fade big time. It's a marathon. But for this weekend, wow. 3-3 is prett nice after last year's 1-5 and after last weekend's horrid series. CONGRATS SOX and Oz. And KW. Good series.
