  1. The way Thornton is throwing I'd give him a chance til he blows one. Unless Oz figures Linebrink is our best candidate and merely needs to get used to the role. Linebrink's too good a pitcher to keep blowing saves isn't he?
  2. How could a Ray beat out Dye?? Do the Rays have fans?? It's rigged if Longoria is leading.
  3. I disagree. He didn't seem put off at all by Morrisseey. He said he likes emails. He'll keep responding to ones that push the right buttons. I sense the two have a good relationship. Oz obviously likes getting email. The article made that clear. Shoot, email Oz and ask him if this will make him change his email attitude. I bet he responds to that question. He'll keep emailing.
  4. There's so much ball left who knows what will happen? I think the Twins and Tigers are for real. It'd be nice to keep playing well against the Royals. We're off to a good start vs. them this year.
  5. Mark grabbed the mike and talked to the fans?? Wow. I voted twice for him; everybody vote for Dye if you get a free minute. That was a fun game to watch. Danks! I'd have never thunk it. Congrats again, KW and Coop. Wise is a nice story right now. Alexei is great; do you think he'll ever draw walks or is he the next Manny Sanguillen?
  6. Great point about our pitchers getting some rest. Can't hurt at all.
  7. I don't see how anybody can be critical of Wise right now. He's fun to watch play and is contributing some. I do like BA, though. We played well w/out Paulie. Now that he's back he better suck it up and be the old Paulie. Wise and BA and Swish have done OK in his absence.
  8. I just voted twice for Dye and Rowand. Couldn't somebody who is a techno nerd set up a computer program to vote for Dye about 7 million times? Why do they let people vote more than once?? Cmon techno nerd Sox fan? Vote for Dye a few million times pls.
  9. Dye deserves to be on; little surprised, OK a lot surprised Joe made it. p.s. Glad to see CC leave the AL for selfish reasons. Kind of a loss for the city of Cleveland though. Wow.
  10. I love Alexei. Question though: Can he learn to be more selective? Or is a free swinger a free swinger? Not saying his approach is wrong. He's great. But will he ever draw walks?
  11. Watching Danks pitch is a true pleasure. Knock on wood.
  12. I don't know why Thome can't hit righties well any more. It's frustrating to see him whiff on so many pitches. That's sad some fan threw a ball on the field (how else did the ball get there) and cost him a single.
  13. Thanks Mumbles, they would know the best.
  14. BA is becoming one of my favorite part-time players in recent team history. The guy whacks a bomb every once in a while and plays stellar D.
  15. I see Russell out as well. It's the only possible move. Seriously folks, what is up with the Twins?? Did anybody see this coming this year? They are amazing. I thought it was possible the Royals might be the surprise this year, but the Twins? All they do of late is win.
  16. IMO: Men and women in the military equals good. Men and women who fight for our freedom equals good. Any way to honor them equals good. Camo unis equal ugly. Military policy sometimes equals ugly. If I could buy everybody who has served a brew, I would.
  17. They ought to buy some whipped cream. Shaving cream is tough on the eyes, burning. They got the money; buy some whipped cream and make fake cakes to smash in the faces. You got to admit ... BA has potential to be a powerful hitter.
  18. I still say BA is an improving player. Another bomb tonight from him? Nice win.
  19. Mark had been pitchin so well. Wonder what happened?
  20. So true. Dump him. As far as showcasing him by playing him, that's stupid. Teams don't know what Uribe can do or can't do by now??
  21. Paulie and Thome are big-time players. They both need to play and both need to have great second halves if we are going to make the playoffs.
  22. Twins won't go away. Not that it matters in early July.
  23. It seems like we always lose at least two in a row after a win streak. Haven't studied the stats, maybe I'm mistaken. It just seems that way to me. Yuk. No fireworks from the Sox on the 4th. Need to slop out two wins and split this series against a mediocre team. Many teams beat Blanton; we surprisingly struggle tonight.
