How bout a base hit to right?

This was by far his best inning to date.

As expected, Weaver is having a good inning right now. We had our chances. Now it's a matter of if we can flukishly beat their bullpen. Ridiculous decision to take him out now.

He makes bad pitches to every batter and at least one good one. Weird.

Wow Paulie took 2 great hacks. Now whiff. 4 good hacks, now whiff.

This sucks. Jon has pitched well enough to win. If we don't score this inning we are toast. Can AJ get on base, rather than pop up or whiff?

Those batting averages Fathom listed are abysmal. Greg Walker and his hitters: D-minus right now.

He's been good, but not that good. Made some good pitches; made some horrific pitches and the Sox still are getting blanked.

My gosh our hitters are off tonight. That first pitch to Iguchi ... bam Strike three, however, was a bullet. Our guys are not hitting his mistakes. We reek at the plate.

This game should be tied 3-3 right now. Sox aren't helping out Garland. He's given up 3, but Weaver has been hittable to the tune of three runs by now as well. Dead bats.

You'd think at home on a nice night against hittable pitches we'd score some runs. Maybe "doomed" is the right word. We are gonna face better pitchers than Weaver w/out Thome.

Whenever the Sox are on TV here and I watch, Konerko always gets singles up the middle. I rarely see him jack. Singles are good, though.

Doomed is a good word, but maybe too strong. I will be flamed for this, but I wish we had both Carlos Lee and Rowand on the team right now. Oops ... did I really write that? I'm going to be burned at the steak (Sizzler, Bonanza, Chop House).

No chance. He's too good a run producer. As big a guy as Thome is and as hard as he swings and his age, it does not surprise me when he gets hurt at this stage of his career. How can you call Jon "average?" If he's average, there are a lot of "below average" hacks taking the mound for teams.

I agree he's had a horrible standup batting stance in his brief Sox career. He stinks right now and needs to reinvent himself at the plate in AAA. Or I guess he could remain on the roster as a defensive replacement. Just assume when he plays he's going Oh-fer and take it from there.
