This Maggs thing to the Yanks pisses me off. Torre loves Maggs. And why wouldn't he? The guy is one of the best in the game. If the Yanks get Maggs from us, that's it for me. That is when I will stop following baseball. We all have our breaking points and mine is if we trade Maggs to Yanks, Mets or anywhere. I don't care who we get ... 11 prospects. It will be a joke. I know we ain't gonna get Thome. My point is we need guys like him if we ever expect to win anything. With a team that is cheap, we need a good creative GM and we ain't got one. I just wish the year JR decided to spend some money he'd get somebody like Thome. A clubhouse guy who can play. The one year we spend money we get Al Belle. If we're ever gonna win anything, as cheap as we are, we need a creative talented GM that can find us an Ichiro or something. We ain't got the talent to win squat again next year, folks. We are a .515 team at best; .449 at worst.

Thome ain't a castoff. Check his stafs. He is a god, small g. He is DH with Frank gone. I want Thome. We ain't gonna win with our current crop. Thome can bring us the big prize.

If Todd Ritchie pitches again it better be in the No. 5 slot. I guess I can accept us tossing him out there in the No. 5 slot, especially since it appeared he had a good attitude. He never pulled a Royce and blamed others. But make no mistake about it: Ritchie sucked.

If Kenny Williams and the Sox were serious about adding character they'd have signed Thome, case closed, no matter the cost. Thome is known as one of baseball's great guys and a stud. Even if for some reason he flopped, he'd find a way to make a contribution. The Sox are blowing so much smoke out their butts. KW is a disgrace. JR even worse. Jim Thome is the guy we need.

How much did ticket prices go up? What does it cost now compared to last year? I don't see why anybody would buy season tickets when they could just wait and go to the games on specialty nights when tickets are cheaper. Any of you like those minor league teams in the Chicago area? Are their tickets affordable?

I don't know why we think Rowand is a bench player. He looked pretty good to me. If he plays regularly won't his stats at least be as good as Erstad's?

I don't know how we even remain mediocre with our crap owner and awful GM. Schuler wasn't great, but did a great job considering our owner and is eons better than KW.
