  1. If he ain't 100 percent then we better play Rios. He might be our Loiza of the field. A guy destined to have a great year. I'm moderately concerned about our team. Anybody else?
  2. That sucks he got robbed. Maybe we should have hired Dusty Baker instead of the Scrubs. Is our skipper capable of leading us to a 30 games over .500 season?
  3. Should we bring up Borchard now? How come Aaron suddenly is Royce revisited?

It is funny. I like what Koch is doing to Big Frank. We need good clubhouse guys like you said. My opinion on the season: Hey we need to get our act completely together. Loiza is 4-0 and we still are not dominant. I'm not complaining, but what a nice addition he has turned out to be. None of us were counting on a dominant No. 3 guy. Is KW a better GM than I envisioned? Jimenez is doing well; Olivo looks good. Loiza is awesome, etc. You've got to think we are gonna be in good shape this season. p.s. Will Kansas like Bill Self? I covered Roy Williams and he's gone and now we have Self who appears to be a great guy.
  5. I know what you mean bout Detroit, but hey I'm glad we're taking care of business against the crap teams. We can't get swept by the Royals next time.
  6. That is wild he is pitching again. Who's he with? I have no idea but my prediction is Expos or Brews. I also loved his performance with the sox.
  7. I did bash Sandy when we signed him. I see he kicked the bleep out of Cleveland. Nice. Is he really attacking the ball or getting lucky or what? I can't imagine Sandy hitting. The few games I get to see on TV in the past he looks so helpless at the plate. But numbers don't lie. He must be whacking the ball. Kudos to Sandy.
  8. I haven't gotten to see him yet either but it sounds like he's been awesome. How'd we get this guy and what is his best pitch?? We are on a roll as a team. Nice.

I was watching and also happy to see that double. That was nice. Hopefully Crede will be fine. That sucked when my boy Jose booted that routine grounder. And it sucked to see De'Angelo go 0-for-4. But it was just one rotten game. No bright spots when we get three frickin hits. Let's go Sox.
  10. As usual, very great points, Baggs. Very good points. In my post, I meant to say Runlys Hernandez or Fernandez or whatever his name is really pitched welll. I don' t think it was all our ineptness. If we continue to do the things Baggs pointed out, JM will be gone a month into the season. I will not panic after one game, we could blast the R's the next two days but we did suck on Opening Day, no question about it. I don't think JM has a long leash this year. He will be gone soon if we don't win 2 of 3 games in several series. That's my opinion at least. Although we might be too cheap to can his butt. By the way I live in KC area and R's fans think Game Two pitcher Affeldt is also gonna stymie our Sox bats.
  11. Don't fret yet. Sure we were pathetic, but the R's starter Runlys was really nasty. He impressed me when he whiffed Maggs looking and went 3-0 on some Sox hitter and ended up getting him out with no problem. I thought we played s*** but it's one game. We sure didn't look like winners today, but at least Mark B. pitched well enough to win. It is amazing, however, that it always looks on paper like we're gonna have a potent offense but while I'm not panicking I sure hate when instant out Alomar is in the lineup. I will be dismayed if we lose all three. We need to win one of three at least. A sweep would be bad.

It'd be nice to have our young guys whack at least five hits apiece in the series against the crap Royals. I know the series means nothing in the grand scheme, but it sure would be nice to win 2-3. Or 3-3. 1-3 will be moderately annoying. A Royals sweep will be bothersome.
  13. I'm kind of intrigued by Aaron Miles. I wonder if he shoulda gotten the job.
  14. that's wild i am here in anaheim rite now waiting for tomorrow's elite eight game. no sox game for me monday either way. rats.
  15. We need to win 2 of 3 but I fear we are only gonna win one.
  16. lee is the better player, folks.
  17. you mean you'll be in KC for the opener or n. orleans? come down on press row and look for me. Go Sox
  18. Thanks for the facts. Gordon worries me for some reason. Remember I said that cause my worries often turn into reality. Off to Anaheim chisoxfan. I don't know if Kansas can beat Duke and Zona/ND but your are right if they win I ain't going to the opener in KC.
  19. Do you folks think Gordon will be an asset or suck for us? Is this guy a gamer or a stiff? How is Daubauch looking? Give me the lowdown on him. And who the hell is Rios? I have not heard anything about him in the past. And finally do you think we've put together a contender? I must say without Royce and Ritchie I got what I wanted. We got rid of two awful players and now we have what appears to me to be a real contender. That said we better take 2 of 3 from KC. There's no reason we should drop all 3 to those stiffs. Sorry for the rambling but I haven't been able to follow spring training as closely as I'd like.
  20. Aaron Miles already is playing a lot of ball. He's starting point guard at Kansas. Sorry, couldn't resist the play on names. Yep. they has got the same name.
  21. Mark is outta here as soon as he can leave. We're screwing him like we did BlackJack McDowell all those years. Too bad. He should be making more money this year. St. Louis is gonna have a heck of a pitcher soon.
  22. Uh oh. We need him this year. Who's gonna be out No. 5. What do you guys n girls think of our No. 5? I am asking. I don't know much about our candidates. Is Rauch ready or too wild? Is Gil a bitter pill or a stud?
  23. By the way, Beltran is available big time right now. Do we want him??
  24. Why do we want to trade Cub killer Lee? KW appears to have made some smart moves and it looks like we have a contender. We need more than 3 dependable outfielders anyway. Let's keep what we have right now and if we are contenders add a pitcher at the all star break by trading lousy prospects for a stud pitcher.
  25. I agree Rex. The difference with cancer Clayton is he was assured a job. If Jimenez pulls attitude, we got guys to replace him. He must have been a piece of work with the Pods, however, for those veterans to rip his ass like that in the media.
