WHITE SOX WINNER!
It's great to go 2-0 in KC. We all know how the Royals gave the Sox trouble last year. A key to winning the division is taking care of KC as much as possible.

Where are all you Erstad haters now?
As one who has disliked Erstad, let me say, nice game. Please keep it up. And if we haters are fickle, think of the Yankee fans who booed ARod on opening day then later that day had him take a curtain call. I think we haters want Erstad to do well, we just fear he is an automatic out. Hope he proves me wrong. I want the Sox to win.

White Sox vs. Royals, 4/24/07 (W)
Knock on wood, knock on wood ... but Bobby was nasty tonight. Wow! He just froze the young phenom Alex Gordon to end the game. Poor Gordon might need to be sent down. He's hitting about a buck.

Are we finally done.....
Exactly. He only hits in the No. 2 hole, at least as a member of the Sox. He is sooo bad when Oz experiments and moves him down. He's a perfect 2 hitter. I can't believe Oz thought that would be smart to have him bat seventh. Of course Oz didn't think Erstad would hit .200. Though Erstad to his credit, has had some hits lately.

Konerko
I think he's heating up. Paulie is not over the hill. Loved Thome hitting that dribber to foil the shift late. If a team runs the shift, it seems like it should be a fine-able offense to ground out to the right side. I'd take that dribbler through the open hole every time if I was Thome. Then if they play it regular, go for the deep bombs. Do you all agree? Or should he blast away when the shift is on?

I like the way Ozzie yelled at Sisco for walking people. Seems like the taller the pitcher is, the tougher it is to throw strikes. I think all these tall guys should get extended stints in the minors till they learn to pitch like Randy Johnson did. What good is Sisco if he can't pitch without walking people??

Erstad wouldn't be as annoying if he batted ninth. I say our lineup should be Uribe Iguchi Thome Paulie Dye Crede

Is Iguchi the only guy on the team who tries to hit the ball where it is pitched? And sometimes Paulie when he drills it up the middle?

Welcome to a new era. Your .500 White Sox. Looks like just an average team to me.

Pena's play in the hole shows the Royals are up for playing the Sox again this year. Sox need to get act together and score 4 runs for Mark B.

Gil Meche isn't bad, but are any of you getting sick of our feeble at bats? What is wrong with the Sox offense???

And thats a White Sox loser...
The Sox are going to continue to face those good pitchers. Thank goodness Kenny Rogers has been out.

Understand the sarcasm, but does anybody really believe this team is anything but a .500 to .540 type win percentage team?

As mad as everybody is, isn' this one all Aardsma's fault? Was Jenks not useable today?

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
I like the fact a lot of guys are contributing. That helps build a real "team." i.e. Mack got the big homer the other night and Erstad even a big contribution as well. Then the studs, Dye and Konerko get the winning hits in the 10th. Lots of contributions which is key to building a winning team. I feel a lot better than when our bats were totally slumbering. GO SOX.

Wow what a post by Kid Gleason. Amazing post. You got it right. Now I'm assuming you haven't made a post like this ever before. What a prediction! Great game, mark B.

Anderson is not the answer. Nor is Mack. Nor is Ozuna.

It is embarrassing to hit the ball like this. It's pathetic.

Fire Greg Walker
Funny how things can change in 2 years. Hopefully it's the cold weather but we just suck. I'd simply release Erstad. He's over the hill. He's done. If our boppers don't start hitting home runs in bunches we could be out of it early this year. Our only hope is the long ball. How bout this lineup the rest of the year Uribe ss Iguchi 2b Thome dh Paulie 1b Dye rf Crede 3b AJ c Sweeney or anybody from minor leagues cf Mackowiak or anybody from minor leagues lf Our outfield has to be the worst in baseball production wise. The worst.

Where KW is going with this team
I don't have a good feeling about this team. The pitching has been good, but the offense is just like last year's. Sub Erstad for Anderson (this year's automatic out). Pods has a better batting average, but I feel is not a great option on offense and especially defense. Iguchi is hopeless where he is batting in the order. Oz might be too proud to move him back to No. 2. Crede is off to a horrific start and the big boppers aren't hitting the ball out of the park and AJ has been so bad at the plate it is laughable. I'm hoping it's the cold weather. I really think that is a legitimate possibility, but I'm not high on this team.

Brian Anderson: New Thread
I'm sick of BA talk. I wish we'd send him down, out of sight out of mind. That said I think he's a better option than Erstad but I'm no dummy. Oz dislikes him and won't be playing him much. Why don't we all accept that and move on? Anderson is not going to play much this year. And Erstad is a crummy hitter.

Eureka! He has seen the LIGHT!
Iguchi can only bat second it's pretty obvious. Erstad is good on defense but a pathetic hitter. Move him on down, down, down. He's an older version of BA.
