Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
That bunt was more like it. If Scott could just push it to the third baseman he'd have a fighting chance. We need a blowout win tonight. We're gonna lose Sunday so we have to win today and Saturday!

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
Oh nellie ... do we stink sometimes. This is not a good time to let Byrd have one of those rare 7 inning, 1-2 run outings. He sucks, white sox! Did you not get the memo??? I will not be here long so I have to get my rips in early.

Why are we wearin' green? I like it ... just wonderin

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
When a guy throws as soft as Byrdie, you'd think Scotty could at least push the bunt toward third if he's gonna bunt! Nice smash by Cintron. Tough break.

By the way, Paul Byrd is a hack. I am not trying to jinx us, but this guy is a hittable pitcher. Just do it, Sox.

If Fred is a competitor, he has to be thanking his lucky stars right now as well as shaking his head at how such a highly paid pitcher can throw such crap up there. Wow was that line smash smoked! p.s. Do we ever get our leadoff man on base anymore?

Ozzie haters
We lost, so Oz is a bum ... tonight. We win tomorrow and he'll be good again. I think he's good everyday. He's a young young manager who already has a ring. He'll be great the more mature he gets on the bench. GO OZ!

Great thread! Oz rocks.

Keep last night's lineup for good
It's easy to say keep that lineup for good when we win 8-1. You'll see holes in it if and when we lose. Sweeney did go 0-6. I know, he hit the ball hard, but BA doesn't deserve to sit the bench the rest of the season.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
So you all go by specific decisions of Oz in deciding you hate him like who he had Marte go against??? His decisions would be the same as most all managers in baseball. It's the intangibles, the leadership. Can't you see that? You who give Oz no credit fail to realize it his leadership that led us to the title. My god, we won one title in 60 years. He brought us the title and you refuse to admit he was A BIG REASON!!! Go ahead and blast me because I don't care if he put Marte in the game and it backfired. He uses the roster given him. He is I repeat the best manager in White Sox history. How do you live with yourselves turning on him so quickly. To say he deserves no credit for our title and our being 1/2 game out of the wild card this year IMO is stupid.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
After reading your post, fathom, I see the two different camps of people. Those managerial decisions you commented on ... I don't remember any of them nor do I care. I don't put a lot of stock in what happens when he brings in pitcher a.) who fails against batter b. I believe most managers manage by the book and use the personnel provided them. As such I blame the personnel more than the manager when it fails unless it is just simply a horrific manager like Bevington. In that case I'd blame the manager more. My camp is I see the intangibles in a manager. I like Oz's youth, enthusiasm and ability to keep the entire team involved. I feel without talent he fails like anybody else and I think our talent has failed him a lot this year.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
Fathom do you at least agree you like all fans love Oz when we win? Admit it ... last year after we won it all were there any negative thoughts in your mind about Oz?? Go back in time as you celebrated all those postseason wins. Any negativity at all toward Oz? Be truthful. A year later, he's the same guy. We are a twoweek win streak from all loving the guy again. Not saying we will do that (knock on wood).

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
The bottom line is Ozzie can say whatever he wants and get away with it as long as we win. There are no popular managers after losses. Just win baby and Oz will continue to own Chicago. Lose and they'll fire him. It'll be the same story as Ditka.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I want a Twins sweep coupled with a Sox sweep of Cleveland cause we'd be right back in the division hunt. I want the division title. We are defending World Champions. I wanna go for the crown.

Amazing what a little pitching will do for ya. Even though the bats have been great, too, it's all about our starters.

Since we're winning big tonight and since we seem to rate Ozzie's performance as horses*** every night we lose ... would you detractors say Ozzie did a good to great job tonight??

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
Let me try one more thing on you before I give up my pro-Ozzie rants on this board: You Ozzie haters (even though he led us to our only World Series since tickets to white Sox games were under $1 dollar. ... Since gas cost about .25 a gallon ... Being that Ozzie is very very young for a manager, and being that he has a World Series title to his credit ... are you willing to give him some time on the job to mature. I mean think how f***ing good this guy may be from 50 to 60??? Or do you hate him so much you must have him fired now? I mean I love Oz but even I admit he makes mistakes. But again with his resume 43 years old or whatever he is and a World Series title already in the bag, would you let him do any learning on the job or must you have him fired to enjoy the team again??

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
I want(ed) Pods to start because of potentially what he brings to the team when he gets his head out of his ass. You've got to admit. The Pods of last year is what our lineup desperately has needed and missed. The fact he is the same guy made me believe he'd turn it around so YES I've wanted him in the lineup over Mack or Ozuna or Gload. Uribe I think has hurt our lineup a lot this year, but my opinion on him changed when somebody on here reminded me he is a great great defender. I think I am more like Oz in being more apt to not want an unproven guy to play over a proven guy.
