  1. Has it rained the whole game? Can u imagine paying Sox-Cub prices and sitting thru this weather?
  2. Boy that half inning turned out pathetic. So many hittable pitches. Sox better close out this W correctly.
  3. Not even close to a homer. I thought it was crushed.
  4. Unacceptable, Gavin. My main fault is when a pitcher obviously reeks, I can't stand when a Sox doesn't pelt a hit.
  5. Bummer. Sheets can't bat against this guy? They yanking him?
  6. This Cub pitcher blows. Anybody who does not blast a hit off him has no excuse.
  7. Dare I say the Sox have woken up? If Sox can close this baby out they may be on the road back to .500. If they blow this game late, ouch.

Cause a lot of my posts end up shutting down threads as people get mad responding to me and I respond and then the thread closes. The times I have been banned pretty much appeared out of nowhere so I guess the permanent ban scares me.

This is a phenomenal post on many levels. In three short lines it says so much. You are not a born loser but it'd make a good strip on the Born Loser cartoon. Mom not knowing you won the race is amazing.

You don't think he's capable of using nuclear weapons before he dies if indeed he is ill? He is a despicable human being. I think he is capable of anything bad.

It's unimaginable to think he might want to end the world if in fact he is dying. He has nothing to lose and he would forever be known as the man who ended the actual world if he implemented nukes. The world right now is so fragile at any moment Russia could decide to do something irreversible. Another country could as well and that country is not the USA. I won't mention names lest I start something and get banned. It's hard to not worry about our grid and possible food shortages and contamination of our infrastructure, etc. We can only hope for the best or pray for the best if we are religious.
  12. This is actually a pretty good post. I doubt anybody in the Sox organization could argue with this post UNLESS they simply used the injury excuse. Otherwise this is a pretty good post IMO.
  13. Nice win. Shows what Sox can do when Luis R is healthy and Tim is Tim. Also nice to see 10 hits. Some other guys were not automatic outs for a change. And nice to have Sox pitchers shut a team down like teams do to the Sox all the time. Nothing like winning for a change.

I really do need lessons on how to use a gun, and I need to be armed at least at home and in my vehicle. I will say this. I was in Chicago in March for five nights and stayed at the hampton inn theatre district by the chicago theatre by the palmer house. I'm surprised I was not in total fear of getting mugged, etc. I even walked alone down there a few nights. It actually wasn't that crowded down there plus it was that weekend where it was cold, cold cold and very very windy. I can honestly say my only emotion was "cold," Fear never gripped me this trip. p.s. i saw a segment on tv maybe it was bill maher about all these funds for different relief efforts, etc., that did not make it to the right hands. Can you imagine with all the billions and trillions out there in different bills and in different fundraising efforts how many crooks are becoming instant millionaries? Darn I wish i got one million or two free.

It's unfair to those who paid off their debts or who are almost done paying off their debts to get no similar relief from Joe. If Joe gives 10,000 dollar relief to those with outstanding student loan debt, he should similarly sent 10,000 bucks to those who can prove they had that kind of debt. Fair is fair. It's just money, just paper. Just print some more ... and more ... and more. What Joe may be doing is evaluating how to get the most votes out of this. Do you gain more votes from the current people who need relief from student loan debt following this decision than you lose from those who get no payback after being good citizens and paying back their debt?
  16. Debatable on the injury part and the front office part. 2B is a black hole offensively because of the front office. The bullpen stinks because of the front office and scouting. Because of injuries the Sox have had 7, 8 and 9 hitters in the lineup the same day who are incapable of producing offensively. The odds of winning games become abysmal when you have three automatic outs in the lineup, sometimes four and injuries also decimate the top end of your starting rotation. It's unfortunate, but those are tangible reasons the Sox stink: injuries and horrible front office/talent aquisition people and evaluators who have no talent on the bench available in case of injury.
  17. Well that article is pretty good. Maybe Eloy isn't injury prone, the way Hahn describes it. The ill advised attempt at a catch caused the first major injury. This one still concerns me. I mean he's going to be hustling all out on grounders again; is he gonna tear something when he does it in cold weather months?
  18. The next rebuild has to consider defense and pitching first. Sox need to build a team that only needs four runs to win. Not sure what they can do about everyday players. Sox have been signing guys who definitely are injury prone. Whether that's just bad luck or their hammies and groins are too tightly wound, who knows?
  19. The team is one of the worst I can remember in its present state. Too many holes caused by injuries. I would think if the Sox record is really bad on June 1 Tony will call it a career. No reason for Tony to continue on if the Sox have some gawd-awful record on June 1. Give it to the next manager at that point.
  20. At least Robert put it in play.
  21. At least Jose didnt' chase like Grandal.
  22. Mets have a no hitter going in the ninth. I'm going to watch just to see how announcers call a no hitter delivered by five pitchers. Why even get excited? It's dumb.
  23. Well u know they are gonna take X rays. Always gotta do that.
  24. Always enjoy a hit to the oppo field. I like it.
