It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Bad post. Generally if somebody has a different opinion than the vast majority, he/she is considered a troll. Unfair. Not all people have to agree for a discussion to be valuable.

Contenders/pretenders
Sox are a lousy team right now but like u say, most teams stink in the Central. Royals win an exciting game today; Sox lose 3 of 4 to NYY. I stand by my saying. We better win the first game of this five game series or it could get ugly with Sox losing 4 or 5 to KC. If Sox lose all five, heads have to roll figuratively speaking. Bye bye Tony.

Glad to see Dallas has pride
Dallas upset he got pulled after five with a pitch count at 86. Glad to see veteran pitchers like me sick of not letting pitchers go deep. Like Dallas said he's a "pitcher." By gosh let them pitch, MLB. Kudos to Dallas K for a nice outing. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/white-sox-dallas-keuchel-early-hook-little-disappointed?cid=sm_npd_rsn_chi_twt_mn

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Two more wins like that and I'd email LaRussa. One of the more superstitious White Sox would surely pay your way to the ballpark on a regular basis.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Nice win, A split at this point would be dandy. 1-3 still blows. However great win. Tim Anderson and Robert lead the way, arguably Sox two best players. And what's up with Dallas K. If he can regain his form like this, that woul really help the club (captain obvious). Guys deserve credit for nailing a 3-2 win after those first two monstrocity games vs NYY.

I tell u one thing. If Sox lose all five to KC next week or 4 of 5, there should be a housecleaning. Hahn, Tony, hitting coach all should be fired. No excuses. Sox already have sucked vs. the Central and should be "ready to play," if this team is capagle of being "ready to play." Five game series can be weird. If the Sox lose game one of the five game set, look out. But if you lose all five, I'm serious, heads have to roll.

2022 Catch All
Me too. As a frequent traveler, however, I am saddened and appalled that hotels have changed their policies for the most part. Generlly with the big chains, you have to pay one night a week or two before your arrival date. It used to be you could cancel up til 5 pm on the day of arrival. Sad times. My flight got canceled one time during covid and I canceled my trip and still had to pay one night hotel. I even sent a letter with proof plane was canceled. Still had to pay and am honors member.

2022 Catch All
Is it OK to start a thread within a thread? I don't want to get in trouble cause I have no ulterior motives to discuss politics or anything. Just a Covid question. ... I see this expert says more boosters are coming and we need to get them. Sounds ominous re. the spread in fact if Americans don't re-up their booster immunity. My question to you is ... how many boosters have u gottem so far and will u get more? You don't need to add your reasoning as it will get the thread derailed and locked. For starters, I've gotten 3 shots and am wondering a.) have I blown it already by not getting shot No. 4? And when do u figure I should line up for shot 4 and ultimately according to the article here, shot 5? I'm a bit concerned if this article is correct cause I am starting to think many Americans are pretty much done with vaccines/shots. Peace be with everybody. https://www.yahoo.com/news/ap-interview-us-vulnerable-covid-195842741.html

It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Is Jose just unlucky? greg eyetest time. Don't know his BABIP but when I watch, he usually hits the ball, just right at somebody. Albeit most are routine grounders or pop ups. I do think he could use a good hitting coach about now. I do not think he's done. I think he has a bad approach for whatever reason. As far as Ron's initial post ... just wondering if there has ever been a Sox player you stuck with as a fan all the way through his career? Jose seems like a bad guy to bury considering he's had a fine career. You have the right to despise him but I just wondered if there's every been a Sox player you stuck with all the way through, good times to bad. I worship Jose in a non religious sense so to speak and that's that.

Eloy Supposedly Back in Two Weeks
Maybe this was fake news but I read this week 2/3 of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. So I can totally understand why attendance is down. I know there are deals to be had, but for the most part, going to a baseball game is now something the average south sider can't afford. We've been through this before, but how many people on the southside can afford tickets to a good seat, parking, and a couple food items? Yes there are deals, but the basic idea of going to a game (most normal people don't hunt for deals; if they want to go to an event they just go) is something most fans do not even consider. So 20,000 is about right. I'd say 10 to 15000 of those fans have some disposable income to work with. (Not to get political but do 2/3 of americans really live paycheck to paycheck? At least at this stage I've been blessed to avoid being in that group, knock on wood). https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/11/two-thirds-of-americans-live-paycheck-to-paycheck-as-inflation-climbs.html

GT: Yankees at White Sox, Game 1 - 7:10 CT
When the Sox lose, it's easy to look at the roster and lineup and point to five or so guys who could easily be in the minors, not the majors. When the Sox win, some of these guys seem useful. That's why it's best sometimes to just shut up and watch the game. For proper perspective, I'd listen to Stoney. He's not a homer like Jason. For instance, when Abreu screwed up on that big play and slept instead of throwing home right away, Stoney immediately pointed out the fail. Not many announcers will do that in this era. In his game summation, Stoney cited the walks of Kelly as being huge pointing out another goat of the game.

I forgot about that. You are probably right questioning age on him, but he doesn't look that old in the face.

Stone does a nice job. That was a perfect summary of the game if you are objectively speaking. No need to overreact, just listen to Stoney's ending again if you want the perfect summation of the loss.

Jose is a mess mentally at the plate and in the field. Wonder if he's bored for some reason. I still think he can hit; he just doesn't hit.
