  1. Surprised you wrote this. I mean, cmon. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know he was going to be out by the proverbial mile. Just no reason to send him. The chances of Robert putting the ball in play and finding a hole were way better than sending leadfoot Harrison.
  2. Two very bad baseball teams split a DH. Sox may ultimately get good. Right now they are boring and very very mediocre to lousy. And the 3B coach should be ashamed of himself. You can't wish a guy home when he has zero chance of making it home. Awful baseball games today. No bats.
  3. I swear ... how can a grown man who lives baseball 24/7 be that dumb to send him? It's insane.
  4. A Babe Ruth League player could have thrown him out at the plate. This loss is on the third base coach if the Sox lose. Sickening.
  5. So stupid. Go for the jugular and the sweep. KCR team is a mess scoring three runs in 2 games since firing their hitting coach. The Sox best players should be playing instead of conceding Game Three of the series. Nice win today with Jose taking off since Ron ripped him.
  6. Yet didn't it sweep the Sox at the Cell earlier?
  7. Ron ripped him and he turned into Abreu again. ... As far as this game, walks and strikeouts can be boring, but I'll take any W.
  8. Why don't the Sox call up that lefty starter out of the U of Kansas? He's ready, folks. His name is Wes Benjamin. Bring him up!
  9. I'm so sick of the rest thing. Here the modern advanced metrics people who I like to refer to as stakniks have changed the game so much for the worse (IMO) and yet we stick to this age/old, timeworn crap about baseball players needing rest all the time. It's ridiculous. If it is in the cards for Robert to get hurt, he's going to get hurt. Playing two games in one day at his age is not a stress on his body. He had a big game yesterday and should play in all five. He doesn't need rest for gosh sakes. Cal Ripken didn't need rest. Same game. The Sox injuries are not caused by overuse of the body. It's either cause of quick bursts of motion running the bases or running after pop ups or it's inability to field a position correctly (Eloy vs, the wall). Somebody calm me down. I hate the 'day off' topic in baseball. This isn't an NFL game or hockey game! It is baseball, a game played at a leisurely pace. If anybody needs rest it's 77 year old Tony. He should skip the nightcap. The rest might help refrresh him mentally.
  10. Nice job by Robert again. Great starting performance and closing job. First game of a five-game set is big. Sox aren't going to do something disfunctional like lose all five. Now the Sox need to crush KC in both games tomorrow, be up 3-0 in series and go for the five-gamer sweep. Not saying it will happen, but Sox are due to start playing .580 ball instead of .500. KC is a lousy team, fired its hitting coach today and Sox pitchers have no excuses. This is a pathetic opponent. So let's win four or five.
  11. He's had good success in Kauffman Stadium. Time to root for Jose to bust out of his season-long lousiness.
  12. Bad post. Generally if somebody has a different opinion than the vast majority, he/she is considered a troll. Unfair. Not all people have to agree for a discussion to be valuable.
  13. Sox are a lousy team right now but like u say, most teams stink in the Central. Royals win an exciting game today; Sox lose 3 of 4 to NYY. I stand by my saying. We better win the first game of this five game series or it could get ugly with Sox losing 4 or 5 to KC. If Sox lose all five, heads have to roll figuratively speaking. Bye bye Tony.
  14. Dallas upset he got pulled after five with a pitch count at 86. Glad to see veteran pitchers like me sick of not letting pitchers go deep. Like Dallas said he's a "pitcher." By gosh let them pitch, MLB. Kudos to Dallas K for a nice outing. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/white-sox-dallas-keuchel-early-hook-little-disappointed?cid=sm_npd_rsn_chi_twt_mn
  15. Two more wins like that and I'd email LaRussa. One of the more superstitious White Sox would surely pay your way to the ballpark on a regular basis.
  16. Nice win, A split at this point would be dandy. 1-3 still blows. However great win. Tim Anderson and Robert lead the way, arguably Sox two best players. And what's up with Dallas K. If he can regain his form like this, that woul really help the club (captain obvious). Guys deserve credit for nailing a 3-2 win after those first two monstrocity games vs NYY.
  17. Yankees are going to score a lot of runs again. Probably lead 6-1 after 3?
  18. If there was one more inning Leury might pitch.
  19. Foster is as bad as Phil Humber tonight (cept for the one glorious night).
  20. Losing five games to KC tho would be very very embarrassing from a supposed contender.
  21. U know what. I like Foster but I did think his pitches were screaming "hit me" this inning. Ouch.
  22. I tell u one thing. If Sox lose all five to KC next week or 4 of 5, there should be a housecleaning. Hahn, Tony, hitting coach all should be fired. No excuses. Sox already have sucked vs. the Central and should be "ready to play," if this team is capagle of being "ready to play." Five game series can be weird. If the Sox lose game one of the five game set, look out. But if you lose all five, I'm serious, heads have to roll.
  23. Jose is an automatic out now. He always puts the ball in play but never hits it where they ain't. Poor Jose. Still love the guy but he can't hit.
  24. U know what, that's a fair point. I have noticed he doesn't second guess managing. But I'm pretty sure I've heard him say things about strategy before they happen. I have noticed tho, he doesn't refer to Tony by name in regard to decisions.
  25. Stoney is a great analyst, calls it as he sees it. Re. Timmy's lousy throwing form there. Yankees play the game the right way. Up 7-3 and hustling; Timmy with another mental error there. Sox lazy mentally.
