  1. That on-field announcer is pretty good. She asks good questions. This is great we can beat teams in the Central this year.
  2. That was a professional at bat, Sierra. Way to go. I think he deserves to play over DeAza the next 4 weeks or so. Give him a chance. That was a big win after letting 'em tie it in the ninth.
  3. Ugh. 3-2 count now. Hit da ball deep enough please.
  4. Thank goodness Marcus hit it just deep enough. Now it's wild pitch time or balk time, baby.
  5. Do we bunt him to third now? Or grounder to second?
  6. Don't let us down, Marcus. Easy bunt.
  7. Yes! Oh boy, it's bunt time.
  8. I can't believe you guys are blaming Robin and not Dunn. Most Little Leaguers can make that throw.
  9. All Dunn had to do was take a breath and throw the f***ing ball to second base. The runner had conceded for gawd sakes and was gonna be in a rundown. AWFUL Adam. We need a walkoff now or we lose in extras.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 29, 2014 -> 02:43 AM) I don't know who to blame, Dunn, Robin, or Belisario I would blame Dunn for sure. It woulda been nobody on base, two out. We let them off the hook. This was a gift sweep. Thanks Adam. What a HORRIBLE throw.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 29, 2014 -> 02:42 AM) Way to go Robin, you idiot. I can't believe they walked the guy hitting .136 on the year. Once again, this team deserves so much better than the manager provides. But would Giambi have launched one? Bella didn't exactly have great stuff out there.
  12. Maybe Giambi woulda popped up. We'll never know.
  13. That's on Dunn, but still Bella could have got the final out. That was a hard hit single.
  14. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ May 29, 2014 -> 02:38 AM) Watching a movie what happened? Dunn fielded the one hopper, stepped on first then airlifted the throw into leftfield. The runner had conceded. He was gonna get caught in a rundown.
  15. Interesting to put the lead run on first but whatever. Just get the next out, Bella.
  16. 2 out. Bella looking fairly good. But this guy has homered already.
  17. That was a gift double play. But nooo. One out one on.
  18. Big outing for Bella. Can he be as calm as last night and as effective? Or not.
  19. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 28, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Read his writings and watch his videos. He makes the racial angle 100% explicit. Strange Sox, he was all over the map in his LONG manifesto. How do you explain his wanting to kill his 6 year old brother as well because he'd grow up to get girls? He said he had to die cause he didn't deserve that and it was unfair brother would get girls.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2014 -> 10:09 PM) ‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens Balta, you are on fire today. That Onion story was AWESOME.
  21. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 28, 2014 -> 09:57 PM) I'm just saying, when you hear about this crap on a regular basis, regardless of how tragic, that's just human nature to become desensitized to it. Yes, but that's the point. It may be human nature, but like Mr. Martinez said, "Where is the leadership?" He cited Steve Jobs and his ability to hire bright people who come up with solutions, not people that are in politics today who just bicker with each other and make excuses. What ever happened to trying to get things done and work on solutions? (I realize we're past that point in America; we don't find solutions anymore we just accept what is happening. And I am not a prima donna. I fully realize it's only going to get worse. We are WAY PAST the solution stage. It will probably take another World War, this one DIRECTLY affecting our security to bond together and try to solve issues ever again).
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 28, 2014 -> 09:48 PM) Wake me when you and others in this country act the same when 10-15 kids in Chicago are killed over a weekend. Please don't turn this into that. I feel sorry for those poor kids killed on a daily basis in Chicago. That is so fricking tragic. All the murders in Chicago are f***ing unacceptable!! I hope all those bastards in gangs and other murderers are caught and thrown in jail with the key flushed down the toilet. -- I can't believe you said 'wake me.' I hope you have never had a loved one or friend murdered. Maybe you have. I hope not. 'Wake me' seems awfully insensitive. We are talking about cold blooded murders here.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2014 -> 09:19 PM) A couple things worth noting. 1. He didn't have a high capacity magazine. He was forced to reload multiple times. This almost certainly saved lives, his ammunition was distributed amongst dozens of clips. 2. He didn't have an assault weapon. Based on the much higher rate of wounded compared to the recent ones that involved such weapons, again, probably saved lives. 3. Your statement of a "very strong" mental health check shows just how weak the mental health checks are. 4. Wow, one gun a month? I mean, amazingly stringent there. 5. Um, his family actively called the police on him believing him to be a danger to himself and to others. Yes, I think confiscation seems like it would have made sense in this case. If that's not a case for confiscation I don't know what is. The thing that really ought to be realized is how absolutely, ridiculously, pathetically weak the restrictions are in, as you call it, one of the most gun-hostile states in the country. And that's again not even counting his ability to drrive to Nevada. Balta comes through with one of the best posts I've ever read on a message board. Awesome. Well stated. I especially liked 3, 4 and 5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 28, 2014 -> 09:19 PM) Have people actually said "Oh good, only 7 are dead?" Not "oh good," but Martinez meant we are numb to this s*** now. It's like "Oh, only 7? That's sad, but it's not really a huge deal. Talk to me when it's 50, 100, a sports stadium of thousands."
  24. "We're at the point, we hear 7 are dead oh well it's better than 30, 40. ... How did we get to this point? This is unacceptable." -- Richard Martinez http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word/watch/u...by-268023875650
