  1. Sox definitely need a sac fly out of Alexei.
  2. Seeing this lefty come in made my brain go haywire. Will Mark Buehrle start the all star game this year?
  3. Probably not off a lefty. I'd take a sac fly or duck snort.
  4. Gillaspie looks like he's for real making the Davidson deal that much dumber. Conor mania.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 26, 2014 -> 09:14 PM) Q gutted out 6 innings. Q, Sale and Danks (of the last outing) all seem to have a plan on the mound. Crazy that we have 3 good lefty starters and only one horrible lefty in bullpen.
  6. Damn the Sox bullpen is going to have to cover the final three innings which is never good. We can't cover nine outs without giving up at least a run, likely more, IMO.
  7. Did he softly touch him on the slide for the out and then went for the knee? It looked like he might have brushed the jersey initially.
  8. Too bad Sierra can't hit. Not many guys can make it close there. What an arm.
  9. Too bad the ump misses calls at the plate and we can do nothing about it and now they make a bad call in our favor and we get screwed by replay. The ball beat the runner which USED TO BE an automatic out.
  10. People that hate Hawk really should listen to replays of today's game and yesterdays. He's funny, interesting and good. Stoney too. Very enjoyable to listen to this. Not plastic announcers voices but good BASEBALL talk.
  11. Robin probably should get tossed too just so baseball takes a look at the calls today at the plate. So bad.
  12. Flowers shouldn't be ejected there; the ump definitely missed that one. Bulls*** you can get ejected for just screaming at an ump.
  13. Flowers got a meatball to open that sequence. He should have swung at that one. This ump wants players to go up hacking; they better swing.
  14. Poor DeAza definitely needs to be Moustakas-ed; sent down, down down for a long time. He's not a major league hitter.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 26, 2014 -> 08:21 PM) It was Rienzo vs. Tanaka yesterday. Only Soxtalk blames that loss on the loss the day before. I've been a Sox fan forever and whenever the season turns to s*** Sox fans always blame some individual horrific loss on the slide that turns the team into crap. You know that.
  16. Aren't the Indians only a game behind the Sox in the loss column? That's not much of a difference, Stoney.
  17. Tank ready for the hanging easy to hit curve ball and crushes it! Way to make it count. 3 RBIs Tank.
  18. Nice hit by Gillaspie. I wish he'd stroked that in the key situation vs. New York. Hit those roller curveballs! Tank isn't going to walk anyway.
  19. Sox predictably have been horses*** since the Yankee disaster. Offense needs to wake up.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ May 26, 2014 -> 08:09 PM) Q has to be one of the worst in baseball this year at allowing 2 out runs The governor sounded like he wanted to rip DeAza when he told him to run for that weak pop up.
  21. Allow me to vent. If he trades Beckham he better do a better job than the Addison Reed trade. Davidson appears to be a bust. Reed has 14 saves!!! It's like the Sox don't want to contend. How do you trade your only closer for Matt Davidson?? Ridiculous. The Sox would be in SO MUCH better shape right now; Hahn would be looking like a miracle worker right now if we had Reed. The Sox bullpen would be light years better just with a solid closer like Reed. If you trade Beckham, make it a good one, Hahn. Cause that Davidson trade totally pisses me off right now!! Bella trying to close out the Yankees two days ago was laughable. Sox should have won three of four vs. New York. Instead ...
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 15, 2014 -> 06:50 PM) Wrigley Field is in a more crime-ridden area than USCF. Yet people instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. Is that true? Is Wrigley a gang area or something?
  23. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ May 25, 2014 -> 09:08 PM) if you actually believe that, you are in for a long summer. 3 in a row vs. New York with Detroit horrible this week wouldn't have been huge?
  24. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 25, 2014 -> 09:36 PM) Well, the Tigers aren't doing much better this week. 1-6, Verlander got absolutely rocked twice (Rangers today, Indians earlier in the sweep) and Scherzer once. Not that it matters so much this year (Verlander going downhill), but it hopefully will over the next 2-3 seasons. It would have been a nice weekend to take 3 of 4 from Yanks with Detroit finally sucking. But nooooo ... thanks bullpen. Can you imagine if Danks would have been allowed to throw 120 pitches and shut out NY 3-0. We would have had nothing to lose in going for the sweep today.
  25. QUOTE (flavum @ May 25, 2014 -> 09:44 PM) Yunel Escobar stole 3rd. You could read AJ's lips-- "Up 5 in the 7th?" Escobar challeged the Boston dugout, Gomes came in from LF, and it was your run of the mill baseball "fight". Escobar was a b**** about it. I love AJ but if the Sox were leading by five I would hope the team would want more with this AAA bullpen. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 25, 2014 -> 09:48 PM) With the White Sox bullpen, that would hardly be a guarantee. Exactly.
