My heart wants to be patient, and my brain says that if she can't make a commitment to me, then why the f*** should I wait? I'm mostly just venting... and thinking... and writing it all down helps me process. Man, you are in a crazy 1-1 relationship. I have no opinion on whether she's seeing anybody else or not. I will say this: if you get back together, that would be a surprise ending to this story for me. I just get the feeling something is amiss. Update on the 23-year-old woman who left my 29-year-old friend for some 35-year old teacher's aide with 3 kids and a $20,000 a year paycheck. My friend now has decided to not try to get her back in February. He still is hooked on her, though. He needs to meet somebody else, and fast. This 23-year-old sounds a bit unstable to me. I wonder what this girl in your situation would do if you met somebody else. That actually could happen. If I were you, I'd be open to any possibilities with new women. I wouldn't wait on her. It does sound to me like you are head over heels for her. Like my friend, I think you should look elsewhere. If she comes back before you meet somebody, fine. If not, hopefully you'll meet a great woman, woman of your dreams who wants to be with you.

Look, this issue is very simple IMO. Restrict the rules on weapons designed to wipe out dozens, hundreds of people at a time. Why the f*** do these weapons need to be out there in society? I mean, grow up, Americans. We don't need weapons of war on our streets and in the hands of mothers who like weapons, weapons that can be stolen by mothers' sons where they kill 20 little angels.

I don't want to "rate" Obama's speech tonight. It's not about him looking good or bad. I thank him for being a good leader tonight and speaking to me (us). Some people may crack jokes about the tragedy or be numb since we have so many tragedies, but I thought Obama helped ease the pain. I couldn't help but look at all the little kids at Mass tonight with their parents and just couldn't help but picture them sitting in a classroom and some lunatic prick executing them. Obama said "are we doing enough to protect the children?" He said obviously not "so we have to change." We'll see what he has in mind but tonight, thank u Mr. President.

Quin I can't even respond. I don't think Soxtalk wants me to respond when I disagree so much with one specific person. It's the second threat in as many days for St. Rose, according the Washington Post. On Saturday, the church displayed posters for parishioners to express their grief. However, an unknown prankster wrote, "This is just round one," on one of them, the pastor said. So there's a death threat to the church today where they were having a memorial Mass and somebody else in the town devastated by this tragedy says "this is round one." Wow. And Westboro baptist wants to picket the funerals of the little kids. Great, just great.

I worship alone, lest I hurt somebody else's feelings who doesn't worship. I read your opinions. I read all opinions. I am not 100 percent sure even there is a God. All I am sure of is like the article stated, we are in a period of moral decline. We are killing ourselves in this country. It's only going to get worse. The only way it gets better is with a total lockdown, which also will be coming. More and more security, etc. The moral fiber of our country is departing us and I'd like to examine the issue. Could I be wrong about solutions??? Of course. I would gladly defer to ANYBODY who can fix this. I'll stop commenting about this except to thank Caufield for finding that article and state that that pretty much summizes my position on this stuff. Do you think the dangers within our own country (our citizens murdering each other) and the international threat (China, others who may want to blow us to smitheeens) are so scary and real you would not want a child to have to face these dangers? Do you believe the polluting of our country by our own citizens will increase the natural disasters and droughts and assure a land that has horrible living conditions? Do you want to bring children into a new age of horrible weather and atrocities? Just curious. I personally think most parents will want one child, two at the very most because of the scary world we live in today.
