  1. One down. Let's get through this half inning and score.
  2. I've never seen Crain pitch that well (in games I've watched on TV in past). Nobody could touch that.
  3. Is our backup catcher big-league caliber? Flowers is great but he'll need some rest as the season progresses.
  4. Damn is right. That was a hard hit ball. You guys are about 5 seconds ahead of my mlb.com feed.
  5. All we need from the big bopper is a single here.
  6. Good job, Alex. Tie game.
  7. Last two pitches looked hittable.
  8. He's due for a hit. How bout no bunt?
  9. QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 10:27 PM) He seemed like a guy that was opinionated and would stick to his guns, but his heart was in the right place. Can't ask for much more than that. He'll be missed. I agree with you. I'm also affected by his death. I consider him a real Chicago icon. I'd get a sense of pride as dumb as that may sound, watching he and Siskel on Letterman or Ebert alone on shows since Siskel's death. I found Roger's article on death quite interesting. http://www.suntimes.com/19279965-761/roger...fear-death.html I do believe there is a heaven but I have zero proof and I can certainly see Roger's logic in the fact when we die we're in the same state of nothingness as before we were born. I'm glad his death is getting a lot of attention. I agree with you that even though I never knew the man, it SEEMED his heart appeared to be in the right place.
  10. Do you think DeAza will bunt? The old adage tie at home; win on the road? I hope not. But Robin may have a bunt or hit and run in the upcoming repertoire. Prediction?
  11. Nice blast by DeAza. Damn that was a good scoop.
  12. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:39 AM) I would LOVE for them to lose the ballgame by 1-run tonight. Show some balls, TRY and comeback. Don't just give up against a mediocre pitcher because you're down and it's cold. I would as well. That's a nice hit by Flowers and tough break the ball got stuck. It's only the fifth inning. No reason to not fight back and score against hack pitchers this early in the season. Cmon Sox, rally time.
  13. I wish we could string together contact hits like the M's did this inning. Put the bat on the ball starting tomorrow, fellas.
  14. I wonder if a lot of our younger starters will have a short leash after tonight. Or is it just the cold and Q will be fine once it heats up. Four innings and out?
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 02:32 AM) DV playing like crap in OF missed cut off man. You think he's a warm weather guy and can't concentrate in the cold? Q is getting hammered this time through the order.
  16. I didn't realize Q was just 24 years old.
  17. Would be nice to get out of this with only one run.
  18. Beautiful hit by Paulie. Thank you Adam.
  19. Nice job, Adam. Shows some leadership and moxie to steal!
  20. I love Hawk, but I don't like his mantra, "It's not who you play it's when you play em." I know what he means but I don't necessarily agree. Nice hit by Dunn.
  21. Is Kepp good field no hit or are we hopeful he can hit .285 still?
  22. Our bats are pretty dormant. Time to hit some ropes instead of home runs. How bout some gappers and regular-ol singles? Not that I'd turn down a Flowers bomb.
  23. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 09:22 PM) Lucky to win 2 out of 3 games scoring 1 run in 2 games, I will take it. Me too. I was thinking today the Sale game coulda gone the other way. That was a huge win over Shields. I'll definitely be happy with 2 out of 3 vs. KC. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 10:03 PM) Guthrie doesn't have a great track record, but let's not act like it's Bruce Chen out there. He was regularly hitting 95 with his heater today and has a nice breaking ball too. He is developing a reputation as a Sox killer though. I thought it was a great series but it is kind of scary about how it appears once again things will be dandy when our boys hit 2-4 home runs per game; not so great when they don't. I hope Kep turns into a singles and bases on balls machine before long. We need baserunners.
  24. Make him pay for the hit by pitch.
  25. I wonder if the Sox can start putting bat on ball vs. Guthrie as KC did finally vs. Gavin.
