  1. Quin you are a good fan. I watched a ton of games this year and don't think "joy" is the right word. Not this year.

July 24 to yesterday ... Sox had first place. Late September, it's vanished finally. First place. It was fun to know ya.
  3. We'd been in first place every day since July 24 ... til now. Yes, the word "choke" is going to be uttered. Or to be nice, "could not finish."
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 05:13 AM) So what pitcher do we get to see work 4 2/3 lousy innings next game? Ugh. I'd let him go six minimum no matter how many walks and how many runs he gives up. Sox have proven they can't win the other way. Let the starters take their lumps the rest of the way, Robin. Sink or swim. Needing to cover four innings with Sox bullpen isn't working nor will it work.
  5. So what pitcher do we get to see work 4 2/3 lousy innings next game?
  6. I'd definitely play Danks over Wise. Like fathom said, thanks to Dweezy for the spark he gave the team, but his mojo is gone. Pinch runner time for Wise.
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 05:08 AM) There are 7 games left and we are 1 game down, guys. Lot of baseball left to be played. Four more horrific games to be played, then I'd suspect 3 good ones in Cleveland when it's way too late.
  8. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 05:03 AM) That was really cool what Lillibridge tried to do. He just rose 2 notches in my book. That was awesome! The way he flipped the ball and the look on his face, it was like: Here fellas, I'm gonna single handedly give you guys a chance to get your head out of your ass and play some playoff baseball. It was classic. Then the next pitch or two, pop up and Lilly couldn't drop it. It woulda been too obvious. Thanks Lilly! You are now one of my favorites of all time.
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:59 AM) Time to just watch and hope. One thing is for sure. I'm not watching any more games from the point our starting pitcher leaves the game, if it's not at least with two outs in the seventh inning. Want to know a LOSING formula for the White Sox? Have our starter go four or five innings max. When that happens, you are guaranteed one thing as a viewer: MISERY!! Folks, with this beat-up, tired, suddenly worthless starting rotation (minus Sale) we have no business playing October baseball. None.
  10. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:55 AM) team is choking big time I don't think any of us can argue that.
  11. I still say those fans who attended are the stars of tonight. They had to watch 12 walks for godsakes. Give them some free tickets, Jerry!!!! Or some free parking vouchers.
  12. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:54 AM) What do you say guys.. go Orioles get Jimmy a ring? I think so. Sounds good to me. I'll back the O's.
  13. How many games are we over .500? It's the curse of .500 I tell ya. We're destined to get to that .500 mark again come hell or high water. GO SOX!
  14. Lilly tried to throw the game for us, but he couldn't drop that pop up as well. He probably would have got banned for life by the commish.
  15. That's the team that is beating us 2 of 3 games. Hilarious. Laugable Lillybridge.
  16. Well that was pathetic. Youk ... Youk ... Youk. Get the golf clubs out, White Sox. Just one more week and you guys can go have some fun.
  17. If I was Reinsdorf I'd go down and personally give all those fans still in the park free parking vouchers for future games. Stud fans!
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:42 AM) Aren't you the same person that wants the Sox to win every single game possible, regardless of possible draft pick? Yes. These are my predictions. Check the prediction thread before this series. So far I'm spot on. I WANT to win, we're just not going to win.
  19. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:39 AM) +1, we should have done this a week ago There's definitely no reason to play Dweezy any more. Danks for him.
  20. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:38 AM) If the Tigers clinch and these guys start to hit all of a sudden. Then burn it down. Because there is a mental problem with whats here. I'm pretty confident that is exactly what is going to happen. Sox will win that final series in Cleveland. Book it. But horrible baseball is gonna continue 4 more games.
  21. You can look at it one of two ways. Had we not had so many excruciating losses vs. KC, etc., we'd have probably blown an 8-game lead in one of the biggest choke jobs of all time. This time we just blew a 3-game lead.
  22. I'll stick with my prediction: 1-2 vs Cleveland, 1-3 vs. Tampa, then 2-1 vs. Cleveland when it doesn't matter a tad. Though once again it's hard for me to envision a victory of any kind right now.
  23. QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:23 AM) Two more innings in our season? Yes. This is it. We are walking zombies a month before Halloween.
  24. Congratulations, White Sox. You have turned into one, pathetic baseball team. Are we even gonna be over .500 at the end of the season? 1-2 games over?
  25. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:17 AM) I'm definitely never going to be fooled by a good first half ever again. All that matters is how you play in September... and I thought we were good when we swept the Rangers and Angels...lol...what a fool I was It's not all that matters. You can be out of it in late May like the Cubs and Royals. Nobody wants to hear it, but we are still also-rans in head-to-head matchups in our own division. This year we did own the Twins somehow.
