  1. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) Well obviously his .256 BA over 12 seasons with 21 career homers and 353 RBI (57 a season) make him the idea baseball analyist. I bet that if you took Roony and Farmer and put them in a room with the BBTN guys, those two would run curcles around the cast of clowns from BBTN. Of course they would. These are two of the best baseball guys around IMO. They'd run circles around just about anyone.
  2. Hopefully he never makes it out of Charlotte.
  3. Personally I find it useless to even discuss ESPN's coverage of baseball. It is obvious that they are going to begin every highlight show, whether it be Sports Center or BBTN, with highlights of the Yankees followed closely with the Red Sox. I am fine with who they cover because they have a large following for those teams around the country. The problem they have to me is a bunch of worthless idiots discussing baseball. Harold Reynolds? What makes this guy qualified to discuss baseball? What did he ever win or accomplish? As I've said before, he should stick to the Little League World Series broadcasts. Jeff Brantley? Same questions apply for this guy as well. He is quick to analyze things he has no clue about. John Kruk? Shouldn't he be managing a Krispy Kreme? Seriously this guy is as clueless as they come. Steve Phillips? This guy was one of the worst GMs ever in major league baseball, yet he latches on as a baseball analyst? Larry Bowa? A fiery guy who never really "got it" as a manager....Ideal ESPN analyst. Hey ESPN, hire some people who have actually accomplished something in their careers and are qualified to speak rather than a bunch of rambling idiots. Just some food for thought.
  4. I'll say if you are relying on either of these guys for saves you are a longshot to win your fantasy league.
  5. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) I'll be listening to Rooney and Farmer. Hawk is insufferable during A's games. When is he not insufferable? I listened to those guys on TV today and it was just flat out horrible. DJ really needs to go. The guy is completely clueless.
  6. Seems like he never got back on track after he was hurt last season in the game here in Louisville. Best wishes to him, as he had pretty good stuff, just didn't work out with the Sox organization.
  7. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) I haven't watched those guys when they've been talking about the Sox. Have they jumped on the bandwagon then? No we were still buried at the end of the show.
  8. They know nothing. :finger Harold and ESPN
  9. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) How in the hell are we 15-4? WOW! Don't ask just enjoy the ride.

  11. Crede's hit streak appears to be OVA.
  12. Marte should be available in the 9th as well as Shingo.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) Vizcaino is in. Must mean Hermanson's back is still bothering him. earlier on the radio they said that he told Ozzie he was available today but probably won't be used because they want to give him some extra rest.
  14. We need the pen right here. Hopefully Hermy is available today.
  15. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) How about a hit Pablo. I called it, yes.
  16. Looks like the poll speaks very favorably on the side of Ozzie.
  17. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) Just to throw some info out there... Here was the question on Sportscenter "Who will make the Playoffs?: Cubs or White Sox" Jeff Brantley: "Chicago is gonna be real sad come October because no matter how hot the Sox start, they wont make it. Take a look over in Minnesota." It's still early and he has a point with the way Minny has played the past three seasons. On the other hand, I think the Twins and Sox have a nice shot at the Wild Card.
  18. This is from Mariotti's column today and it had me laughing.
