"Magglio Ordonez knows the truth"
-
I suggest a few people call-in, along with myself and tell Dan to talk about the 8 game winning streak instead of giving us bad press from a week ago. :fyou Dan 1-888-729-3776
-
"Is KW concerned about Ozzie?" Dan will ask. I may have to call in if this asswipe is taking calls. For anyone else, 1-888-729-3776 Call in and tell Dan to read the papers last week and quit putting a negative spin on the Sox 8 game winning streak.
-
"A bitter word of words going on between Ozzie and Magglio" is what they are going to be discussing and "Ozzie needs Frank out there playing." Mariotti and Kenny will both be on within the hour. Then Dan reads a bunch of quotes from Ozzie regarding Maggs that are what, a week old? This should be interesting.
-
By the way, since I doubt Moronotti has even seen us play in person this season, why is he going to be on talking about the Sox? :fyou Kotex Boy

Cubs are notorious for giving up some future mlb pitchers. Dontrelle Willis, Jon Garland and I believe the nasty Sisco kid we saw in Kansas City was a Rule 5 pick from the Cubs. That being said, don't trade them anyone on the MLB roster. If they want Kevin Walker, by all means, deal away. Although I don't see us trading with the Cubs.
-
Eh, as well as Garland has pitched this year, I'd still take Prior over him.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) KW is suppose to be on as is Kotex Boy all talking about the Sox...can't wait to hear Kotex boy's take.... Should be good then, I'd love to hear Mariotti vs. Kenny.
-
Dan says he is going to talk about "the drama that is going on inside the White Sox locker room." I'll keep you posted on this discussion, when it starts. Not sure exactly what drama would be going on besides a 8-game winning streak. Hopefully it's not more Ozzie/Maggs or Ozzie/Frank talk.

You can buy T-shirt transfers at an office supply place (cough cough Staples) and put it on that way.

As they say on PTI....Happy Trails to Frank Thomas.

Major league easily. We've got a AAA team here in town and I pretty much only go to see the Sox farmhands when they are in town. It's just something about being at a big league ballpark and the total atmosphere that sets it far apart from even a great minor league experience, which we have here in Louisville.

We don't win the last two games in KC without Aaron Rowand. Chew on that.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) So, is he out til the Tigers series? He'll definitely be out tonight with a lefty on the mound.

QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 11:19 AM) Let me rephrase, he is great insurance for 2005. His fast start could mean he's close to being ready to contribute, maybe faster than even Sox management thought. I like Anderson quite a bit and agree he has far more potential than just being a 5th OF. It's a nice problem to have. Should also add on Anderson ... good start at Charlotte but also 16 k's in 57 at bats. 7 BB and a very nice .400 OBP but striking out once every 3.5 AB's indicates he still needs more experience. He's a gap hitter and personally I'd like to see an even ratio of K's to BB at the AAA level. No knock on him, just saying. All good points, I don't even want to see him up this year. But when he does come up, he'll be starting.

Happy Birthday

QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) By the time Dye's contract is up, Sweeney will hopefully be ready. Anderson is great insurance for an injury and would be an excellent 4th OF, not to say he doesn't have starter potential, he does. But this is great depth and other factors have a way of solving the logjam. This is the least of our worries. I wouldn't call Anderson insurance. He is our best prospect, ahead of B-Mac and Sweeney at this point IMO. The guy wasn't a first round pick for nothing. When he does come to the big leagues, it won't be as a 4th outfielder. It will be in place of someone, most likely Jermaine Dye next season if he can be moved.

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) This happens in almost all baseball broadcasts. For one inning, or atleast half an inning in every game.... DJ takes over the play by play from Hawk, Farmer takes over for Rooney, Andy Mazur takes over for Pat Hughes on Cubs Radio (because Santo can't do a thing), etc. This is a normal occurence in baseball broadcasts. If you listen to the Sox radio broadcasts very much, alot of times after Rooney comes back from his break Farmer will ask him what he had to eat, etc. Rooney and Farmer eat in the booth. They don't leave the booth to go eat. I'd imagine the same holds true for Hawk and DJ.

I don't see Contrereas missing a start so this may all be moot discussion.

QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) BARONS 5 Montgomery 2 W-Meaux (2-0) L- Cromer (3-1) Sv- Jenks (7) BULL 3.2 IP 1H 0R 0BB 4K's * Bull injured his back during the game Cromer 5IP 8H 4R 2BB 2K's Good-Bats continue to surge 12 more hits, Also had 4 Doubles. Antoin Gray hit his first AA homerun in the 7th. Rogo had a 3 hit game avg is .349, Jerry Owens had a 3 hit game and was on base all 5 times as the leadoff hitter in this game. Owens also stole his 6th base today he is 6-6 in steals. Rogoowski stole 2 bases as well. Great Pitching by the Bull again but what else is new. Meaux continues to dazzle the biscuits he went 3 1/3 innings only giving up 2 hits while Striking out 6 Montgomery hitters. Meuax leads the team with 20K's. Bobby Jenks recorded the final 3 outs and had one K he got with a 98 MPH Fastball then droped in a dandy curve ball to finish off Shawn Riggins with his second K that ended the game. Hit Streaks continue for Owens (4), Blakely (5) and Andy Gonzalez (6). Bad-Nothing very well played game in all aspects. Notes: The Bull left in the 4th inning with Back Problems looked like he was in a lot of pain. Pacheco was cut after the game and will be replaced by a pitcher from Winston-Salem no word on who. Barons after taking the series from what was 1st place Montgomery improve there record to 11-5 overall and 5-1 vs Montgomery. Barons move on to Knoxville Tennessee for a 3 game set. Thanks for the detailed report as always.

Glad to see Frank is paying a close eye on the Sox and helping Uribe along. Looks like we're going to need his bat if Dye continues to swing it in a funk.
