With all of the national discussion the past few days over Ozzie's comments, I figured it's time for a poll to ask whether or not Sox fans have a problem with his comments. I for one have no problem with the Ordonez comments, simply because the guy deserved exactly what he got for opening his yap. THe Frank Thomas comments for some of you may have been another story. Bottom line, do you have a problem with Ozzie's mouth? Vote and discuss.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) It doesn't specifically. But the area between the navel and knees is sore with that type of injury thus he will not be able to take care of business in the missionary position for a while. Sorry just had to laugh at that, even though I don't wish injury on anyone.

QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 11:56 AM) Separate note don't you think Pods should have taken out maur on that tag up from third? You were right there, he tried to avoid maur inside of sliding into him cleats first. Hunter would have barreled our catcher. Just an observation. I thought exactly that and I was mad for about two innings afterwards. Rooney was commenting on the radio that had Pods been here last season he would've taken him out but since he wasn't close to the situation that it didn't happen. But yes, it was a perfect opportunity and I am guessing that due to Pods's health, he didn't run over Mauer.

Cotts has a few more outings to straighten things out before he is shipped due southeast to Charlotte. It's the same things from him, nibbling around the plate and walking guys that drive me absolutely nuts. This is even more troublesome now than when he was a starter because he is doing it in relief situations where we need him to hold the other team. Right now he has 5 walks in 3.2 innings with a 7.36 era....

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 10:27 AM) I know I don't want to belabor the attendance issue and I know it will improve once it gets closer to summer, but first place showdown vs. the Twins on half price night ..... not a good sign of things to come. Also, unless you were at the game, SILENCE!

QUOTE(Molto @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) That wouldn't bother me, but I'd personally rather go the route of no closer. Hermanson is good, but he isn't lights out, which is what I want from a closer. IMO, if you don't have one of the best, go at it by situation. I agree, there are only a few closers I would consider to be lights out and we don't have one on this team.

My favorite call of all: Michael Kay on the YES Network. Matsui sends a fly ball to right....SEE YA!

It's a week night in April, kids are in school, college kids are still away at school and people have to work the next morning. No big deal IMO.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) Might be? They lost again today and are 3 games behind the 2nd to last place team in the league. They are the worst team in the league. However, I remember the Warthogs started something like 0-7 or 1-7 last year. They bounced back the rest of that half and made the playoffs the 2nd half with some more talent from promotions and the draft. Unfortunately for the Knights they don't have 2 halves to wipe the slate clean. I was giving them a break due to it being so early in the year, but as of right now, they are the worst team. And they don't seem to have much of a chance to get better either.

QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) just for numbers wise he threw 82 pitches today (37 Strikes) (45 Balls) and was missing badly How was his stuff? Velocity? Sounds like his command was horrible.

Charlotte might be the worst team in the International League. 1-10 is pathetic.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) Anyone else see the Everett foul/fair ball? I couldn't tell if it caught the line or not. It looked foul at first glance, but I couldn't tell for sure. Foul by an inch. -

Pods should have planted Mauer, that was very disappointing to me. -

QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) Now hold on... Dye's been struggling and Willie isn't a right fielder, exactly. Let's just see how this works out. I was talking at 2nd rather than Iguchi, not right. -
