Hermanson to resume throwing
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 10, 2006 -> 05:45 PM) I think it'll be hard for him to jump right in and contribute straight away, he may have a season like Cotts and Adkins did in 2004 getting used to the major league level. I sure to hell hope he is nothing like Adkins. That guy was a joke.

So far Jason looks pretty smart for doubting the Indians pitching. Somehow I still think they will be around in this division, but maybe I am wrong.

Sox vs Angels Game Thread
QUOTE(fathom @ May 10, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) It's the Angels only visit to Chicago, so it would almost definitely be a double header tomorrow. Also, I'm not sure if Shields is available for the Angels this series. He had some chest pains recently, and might have to see a doctor in LA. Yeap, it'd be hard to find a mutual offdate where it would even make sense for the Angels to come to Chicago.

If the game got rained out, would Haeger be skipped?

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 10, 2006 -> 03:34 AM) For the record, I grew up in the Chcago area. Nevermind that, you live in Kentucky now, you must be a hick!

Hermanson to resume throwing
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 10, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) Yeah I don't think we'll be ever seeing Hermy back to what he was this time last season again for the White Sox. But we'll have $4M to use when his contract is up at the end of the season (I think that's what he's on), and with Politte's deal ending as well, we'll probably need to sign a fairly good set-up man in the off-season. I am hoping Tracey can be a pretty stellar bullpen guy for us next season. But yes, we'll probably want to add a vet.

Wow does Mota suck. After Cleveland came back to tie it, he just gave up HRs to Guiel and Berroa. It's 10-8 KC, bottom 8th.

Haeger
I'd rather see him develop at Charlotte. He's only 22 and could be valuable in the future as a trading chip or if we have a starter go down.

Gym memberships
I pay around 55 a month for mine, but I am an addition to a family member's account so I get a discount. The normal price is around 70 a month, but I'm not in Chicago.

Sox vs Angels Game Thread
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 10, 2006 -> 03:42 PM) Well, to be fair Cotts was really thrown to the wolves that day. At least Heager has the benefit of pitching at home, whereas Cotts had to throw against the best offense in the league, in the bronx. Cotts made his major league debut against Anaheim, not the Yankees.

American Idol Predictions
Katherine and Chris bottom 2 with Chris leaving. Taylor lives another week and if he wins Idol, may just get a deal with Just For Men so he can at least get his original color back on that awful head of hair. He surely won't sell any records.

Freddy Garcia shouldn't be in there and neither should Jenks or Papelboner.

Hermanson to resume throwing
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) The problem with that is he was considerably worse once his back got messed up last year. I have no doubt Dustin can tough it out if need be but would that really be beneficial to the team? If he can get people out and wants to do it, then yes. If he can't be effective, I'd love to have him around the team because he's a real solid guy, but don't put him out there in that case.

If Crede keeps this up...
QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:27 PM) Its a pity because Fields is looking real solid at the plate in charlotte And Moreso the vibe you get from him is that he is the Star down there on that team. The fans love him and expect him to do something big. He has a big league approach. Well I hope he likes Charlotte cause he could be there for a while.

If Crede keeps this up...
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:24 PM) Dude, after that 10th inning against Cleveland last year...can you blame any of us? I don't blame you, but for as much as I get it for my Buehrle following, the Crede's cult is 10 times worse.

QUOTE(SnB @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:15 PM) Seriously, does he not look like a savior in this picture? Sometimes I think Crede sort of has a cult following around here.

Sox vs Angels Game Thread
For out of towners on DirecTV, game will be on the Angels network on channel 744. One of the few times we didn't get screwed by WCIU. Angels PBP man Steve Physioc is pretty good anywhow, although Rex Hudler is a horrible color guy.

American Idol Predictions
I really can't see what people see in Taylor. Simon is right, he is like a karaoke performer. The guy's dancing is ridiculous and out of the 4 left, he has the least impressive voice. I guess it goes to show that dancing around like an idiot can help you advance. If he wins I think thats pretty embarassing. I can't stand the douche.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) What do the Angels charge for the screened in area behind home? That looks pretty cool. No clue what the prices are down there. I would imagine they aren't for sale for individual games, rather just for full season packages. There were like 12 seats in each section down there.
