Owens' best chance for a call-up involving playing time is September IF the Sox have a comfortable lead in the Central Division. Other than that, if he's called up in September in a pennant race, his main role will be pinch runner. This is of course assuming no major injuries happen.

I'll be there for all 3 in Anaheim thanks to one Jason Gage, owner of this facility we all call Soxtalk. And a free flight on Southwest doesn't hurt either.

I picked it up Friday at Borders and I'm about 100 pages in so far. Very interesting read up to this point, its been dealing a lot with Marion Jones, Montgomery and some with Bonds so far, but its very well-written and detail oriented.

Maybe we'll have a shot at Danks when he's ready to come out of Texas. I know he and his Dad had nothing but good things to say about the Sox organization when they drafted him. He'll be a guy to keep an eye on going forward.
