  1. QUOTE (The Bones @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 09:35 AM) They do. It was the second one I saw. Huh. After it started cycling through the Mauer and Milestones ones for a 3rd time I gave up. Good to know. Thanks.
  2. I actually like American Eagle's jeans too. Not overly pricey and seem to last a while.
  3. So how is Dan Hudson not in the game? Seriously. And I started probably 10 times last night to see the different intros, how do they not have Buehrle's perfect game as one of them?
  4. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) Weren't we rumored to be interested in Pinto at some point this offseason? Or am I just making s*** up again? If he's finally healthy, I'd rather try to see if the Marlins would be willing to ship off Tankersley on the cheap
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) I'm sort of afraid to ask what a "head shop" is... I think it's a place to buy these:
  6. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 04:40 PM) Nice goal there to get within 2-1. Even if the US can't pull out a draw here they've looked solid. Neither of the goals for Netherlands were good chances, a dumb penalty and bad luck on that deflection. Beasley really impressed me (see what happens when he's not playing defender Bob Bradley?). Couldn't watch the game but saw that Maurice Edu was on the reserve list. Good sign as he's been hurt and there have seemingly been no updates on his status.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) SHIPPS could not be more accurate. Steve could not be more accurate about SHIPPS being accurate.
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 12:39 PM) Smokey is bad, Jacob is good. Jacob has given all the characters the same type of choice that god gave Abraham, in order to get what they want, they must sacrifice. Jacob has never directly killed anyone (so far), everyone on Smokey's team (sans Claire) has blood on their hands. We know that Kate was not a candidate, neither was Claire. Sayid had a choice, Jacob had Hurley try and save him, which clearly shows that Jacob did not want Sayid to d e. But Sayid can not escape who he is, either in this life or another. He became twisted when he was with the Iraqi army, and no matter what life he leads, he can not escape that past. That I believe is the point of the alternate time line. To show that some of the characters were mere victims of circumstance, pawns in a larger game. Where as other characters have made choices that made them who they were. The other's appearance in the alternate reality is the best example. In the first reality, Ben is a murderer, in the alternate reality he is just a high strung teacher. He was a victim of circumstance on the island, the same as Ethan who appears to be a good Dr. in alternate reality, but on the island was a kidnapper and could have possibly been a murderer. The final scene of the episode, where Kate, Sayid and Claire walk through the bodies was very telling (imo). None of them reacted as if there had just been a major loss of life. Kate not only didnt seem affected, she just took a weapon and kept on going. I also took a look at the Last Super picture, and im not sure that it has any relevance outside of the fact that Locke is supposed to be seen as the most important character. If it was to be interpreted literally I believe that Kate would be Judas, and Lapetitas would be Simon. That just doesnt seem to jive with their characters. I agree with what you say except the bolded. To me, Kate looked shook up and confused at what just happened. She went with them, but that's been her character. She never could stay behind, she always had to see what was going on. And as Sqwert said, Claire's already killed two people this season.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 09:16 AM) Could you fit some Trojans in it as well? That's what she said
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 03:01 PM) Well he didnt specify his league, it could be NSA, ASA, Utrip. Yeah all the leagues around me are ASA so i just assumed. I gotta remember that no one else is from NY
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 02:50 PM) Our team is a big fan of the Miken Freak and Freak +. We have a bunch of DeMarini's as well, the Juggernaut gets a little play but i dont like it None of which are ASA approved so if your league enforces rules don't waste your money on those.
  12. Who started for the Dodgers?
  13. QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:40 PM) It's not Coopers fault for any of these pitchers downfalls, nor do I think he should get credit for fixing them because they succeeded. Does anyone actually get my point? Then don't list them as "failures". This all started because you chose to do so. The point I think you were trying to make became lost when you tried to point to certain pitchers who have succeeded here as evidence of Don Cooper's "failures", which is just absurd.
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:33 PM) Ask yourself these questions in this order: Is Ozzie the pitching coach? Isn't it the pitching coaches job to fix pitchers? Were any pitchers made better while under the services of said pitching coach? Who is the pitching coach? If all of these questions have pointed you towards Don Cooper, you may move on in the course. +1
  15. I'm picking up The Show after work tonight. Can't wait. I may even have to DVR Lost to watch later.
  16. QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 11:36 AM) I have to disagree with you that he has done a great job with other reclamation projects. I think he has had more failures than successes. Successes: Thornton Failures: Linebrink Jenks (keeps regressing) Aardsma Sisco Cotts MacDougal Masset Polite Contreras I'm not blaming him for the failures as much as showing you that his ability to "fix" people is overblown. Is your list of "failures" supposed to be taken seriously?
  17. "Iam very bad playing texas holder" That made me laugh
  18. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 03:59 PM) Tell me who is that visible a star in the NFL? I've come up with Peyton Manning and really that is about it. Ochocinco does it himself. Vick, LT, Ray Lewis, Brady, Peterson, Favre...
  19. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 09:18 AM) Eh I was rooting for Canada because they had more Blackhawks, so that's my logic. At least it was a game that people will remember for a long, long time and not a blowout. You're also not an American though. It's like you rooting for some team over the Aussies in the World Cup. And to expand on what others say, I root for Poland and Slovakia to do well in almost any tournament or event because that's where my grandparents came from and I'm proud of my heritage, but never at the expense of the United States, because I'm more proud of my country.
  20. QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 05:38 AM) because my favorite NHL players are mostly Canadians, so when the Olympics comes around they are on team Canada.. I wouldn't say I was rooting against the US, just rooting for Canada if that makes sense.. So rooting for your favorite professional athletes > rooting for your own country. Got it.
  21. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 02:25 PM) He said one of the best pure "power" hitters. There's no denying that. Heh, well i definitely misread that then.
  22. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) DeadSpin- Apparently, the Rangers and Twins have moved halfway across the state, the Mets and Yankees play on Long Island, and the Cubs and Phillies have relocated to Indiana and New Jersey, respectively. Are you smarter than a fifth grader? FOXSports- The Mets DO play on Long Island...
  23. QUOTE (daggins @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 01:54 PM) He's still one of the best pure power hitters in the game, and an average/slightly below average 1B defensively. He is miles better than Dunn, and is paid accordingly. I'd still rather have Werth, though. How can you be "one of the best pure hitters in the game" when multiple times you've struck out more times in a single season than almost every other person to have ever played the game?
  24. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 12:49 PM) Pretty much any game that is broadcast by a team's normal station (IE CSN/WGN) is carried by mlbtv. So if it is on some form of regular tv, it'll be on mlb.tv. Oh nevermind, I thought he said MLB Network would be carrying games so I was looking for that schedule haha. My bad.
