  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 02:52 PM) So 7 touchdowns, 5 of which weren't entirely significant, are outweighed by 2 touchdowns, with one being most significant? Dumbest s*** I've ever read in my life. Well, ESPN created the stat. So that should tell you something
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:40 AM) Damage Control: traded Mathews and Bowe (save it, Krush) and got back David (please don't fumble Sunday) Wilson and Gronkowski. Love that trade on a few levels given I had Sudfeld. Also dropped some scrubs and added Marlon Brown, Winslow, and Pryor. That's an awesome trade for you, but... Isn't Bowe supposed to be way better than Fitzgerald this year?
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 02:00 AM) I don't see why Mexico can't even get a point at a Costa Rica side that's already qualified for the World Cup? Who knows what kind of squad they will bring. Panama needs a tie at Azteca, which is a hell of a lot easier than the win they probably need before that late equalizer tonight. It's going to be fun down the stretch rooting against Mexico. Two matches left and Mexico can't even finish in the top 2. No one would have guessed that. Oh and DOS A CERO! The way Mexico has played against Central American teams over the years, winning 4, 5, 6-0, on field showmanship, knocking them out of WC's, etc....I'm sure Costa Rica will get up for that game knowing they can finally return the favor. Plus, I think Mexico's record in CR is about as poor as ours is QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:18 AM) Anyone else think that Dempsey missed that late PK on purpose? No. He's just not a good PK taker. The pecking order for PKs for the US should be Donovan > Altidore > Bradley > Dempsey
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 04:09 PM) Austin will get better every week. Givens targets will go down going forward. Believe what you want. Hard to go down from 3 targets and tough to draw a more difficult cover than Peterson. I don't understand why so many people are all over the Tavon Austin kool-aid. He went in the 4th round in one of my leagues.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) Has it really been that long since someone Caulfield has posted something? http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/when-yasiel...pitchers-pitch/ Fixed
  6. Also, isn't it amazing what happens when Larry Fitzgerald has someone to throw him the ball again?
  7. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 10:21 AM) My roommate got it, and he just beat it literally 5 minutes ago. I created a character and played with him a bit yesterday, it seemed alright but not up to expectations for following up D2. I can't remember the game, but my roommate had downloaded some free game on PS3 that played almost exactly like D3, just wasn't as in depth (no voices, graphics not quite as good, skills/characters weren't as deep) but I thought he was playing that other game for the first 10 minutes. D3 didn't really fulfill anything for me, instead it just made me miss D2 a lot more. Well that's quite disappointing
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 07:14 PM) Austin doing better than Givens today. Neither played particularly well and one of them was blanketed by the top CB in the league all day
  9. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 04:51 PM) I think you sit Austin just because you have no idea what his role may be. Ballard should be good for at least 15 carries even if he is one of the least sexy options around. I agree. Until proven otherwise I'm sticking with the thought that Chris Givens is the Rams WR you want to own right now
  10. Anyone purchase Diablo 3 for console? I'm debating it solely on the fact that I spent countless hours playing Diablo 2 years ago
  11. QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 02:50 AM) Are you serious? Two set pieces and a breakaway and you're blaming Howard? He had no chance on the first two. I don't know what you want. The goat of the game for me is Orozco. He got torched early. Howard was at fault on the third goal for not charging that ball. His positioning was awful. Beasley was at fault on the first goal but I also want to see Guzan given a chance.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 02:20 PM) Not much of a case there. He assumed the risk of operating that thing. And he was an expert on remote controlled helicopters. Doesn't matter. Good chance they'll still attempt a lawsuit. We live in a lawsuit-happy, everyone else except me is always the one to blame type of country.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 10:51 AM) I have Desean Jackson and Lance Moore to replace him if he continues to play like s***. I've got Moore, Givens and Josh Gordon (in 2 weeks) if it keeps happening.
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 12:18 AM) Catch some passes Decker! Yeah I own him too and that was disappointing. He dropped a TD and another pass later on. The good news is he had 9 targets, so it's not as if he was an afterthought in the offense.
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 09:12 AM) I thought this should have its own thread. I contacted Scott Merkin to see if we can find out more on this - details aren't known, that I've seen. But apparently, the Sox are going to have an AZL team in 2014. The article talked about both Bristol and Great Falls in 2015 for Zapata, so it appears this isn't closing or moving a team, but adding a new one. Given the Sox' increased LatAm operations, and the fact that they were keeping guys in AZ well into the season anyway for various reasons, this makes a lot of sense. If anyone else finds any details on this, post it here if you get a chance. How does the AZL generally work? Is it considered on the same level as the other two rookie leagues? In between them and the DSL/VSL? Draft picks or will this maybe get more experienced kids out of the DSL?
  16. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 10:04 PM) And he loved Texas. As did Manziel and Griffin III. Too bad Mack Brown is too much of an idiot and wants to recruit those guys as DBs and Athletes as opposed to QBs. Apparently when Texas started showing interest he was already down to Alabama and FSU so they didn't even bother making an offer. It's strange, FSU has had two straight QB's go in the 1st round after being long time starters, but this is the first time it finally feels like we might actually have a QB
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 07:04 PM) 6 points for a throwing td, it's a must no matter what. Aren't passing TDs usually 4 points though?
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 09:11 PM) If this was a pennant race I'd buy that. Since we're not in it, lets see what kind of cojones he has. Also, CC hasn't been very good this year
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 02:18 PM) Why would anyone not start a QB in the flex spot? Injuries. Bye weeks. Poor drafting.
  20. 12 team PPR, QB allowed in Flex spot QB Andrew Luck RB Ray Rice RB Darren Sproles WR Randall Cobb WR Marques Colston FLEX RG3 TE Jordan Cameron K Justin Tucker D/ST Kansas City (first two weeks are Jacksonville and Oakland...I plan on playing matchups here) Bench: EJ Manuel, Stevan Ridley, Bernard Pierce, Bryce Brown, Cecil Shorts, Josh Gordon
  21. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 31, 2013 -> 08:03 PM) Hmmm.. Eddie Lacy (SF D) or Daryl Richardson (ARI D) for week 1? Love Lacy, but Richardson seems obvious, but this is week one... idk. Richardson
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 01:14 PM) You are f***ing crazy if you think Dwayne Bowe is going to be better than White or Fitzgerald. He still has a noodle armed QB except that Smith throws even MORE in between the numbers. Bowe is a vertical, middle to deep threat wide out. If Bowe has the same eyar as last, it would be a good year. I could be biased because it's my team, but I think Bowe is a pretty strong WR2 this year. He's not really a vertical or deep threat. He's more of an all around WR who is going to make one bad drop a game. Fantasy-wise, he is KC's main target if they don't run the ball or check down to Charles. Alex Smith is an unspectacular yet solid QB who will look to him plenty enough to put him in the top 15 in terms of targets IMO. Moeaki is hurt so he is also their only real red zone target at this point as well. Look at their other receivers: Avery, Jenkins, McCluster, Fasano, Kelce. Bowe is the guy who will get all the looks. He's going to be a good fantasy WR this season.
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 01:00 PM) Dwayne Bowe and Pierre Garcon, drafted much later, will be better than either this season. If the game were about drafting based solely on past performance it'd be easier to be as good as I am at it. /guywhocalledalfredmorris Bowe possibly but claiming that about Garcon is going way out on a limb. The guy is a walking injury. Anyone drafting him would be lucky to get 8-10 games out of him.
  24. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 11:06 AM) Fitzgerald was pretty worthless last year I think that's going to totally change this year. Carson Palmer can still throw the football and they will be behind a lot. He had absolutely no one to throw the ball to him last year. You don't have to be a good real QB to be a good fantasy QB, and that was Carson Palmer last year.
