I would love to take my kids to go see the Big Hurt. s%*# I want to see the Big Hurt hit. He's the reason I'm a Sox fan, but I was too young and lived to far away to ever see him play.

I just had this exact conversation with a good buddy of mine. In my opinion the month of May will set the tone for the rest of the season. We are currently hot, and play a favorable schedule including division foes. Not saying they need to right the ship and get to .500 before the end of May, but the headway has to start now. If things go well, I'd expect us to be 2 to 3 games back in the division.

Can't read Grifol's mind, but my thought was he liked the current matchup at the plate. If Robert steals, they walk the current batter. My memory sucks, but I believe it would have been Grandal.

Worst I have ever seen, but more importantly for me, it's the most disappointing. Found myself, as a fan of this team, wanting them to literally trade away everyone. There isn't a single player on this team that I have "fan love" for anymore. Our so called "Stars" play for themselves, not for the team. This team has no heart

Then he isn't doing his job as a coach. Not holding coaches and/or players accountable is at the basis of all terrible organizations in sports. Prime example is all over this board. JR isn't holding his FO accountable for their failures. The trickle down affect has hit the field..... and now we are 7-15 and look like absolute garbage.

I'd love to see AJ, simply for the fact that he will speak his mind. He will call out BS, and I think this team needs that now more than ever. We have underperforming, highly paid talent. Somebody needs to kick them in the ass. Feel like we have a bunch of Roger Dorn's on this team.

Long time reader, first time poster. We've been through some frustrating seasons, but for me this one takes the cake as far as the first quarter of the season goes. So many things to complain about. I have been to a handful of games so far and am truly dumbfounded how many mental mistakes our guys are making. Simple fundamentals of the game got us looking like a high school team. Defense sucks w/ numerous missed assignments and errors on routine plays. There are no words to describe our bullpen other than absolutely pathetic. On the offensive side of the ball, when the hell is the hitting coach going to teach them to shorten the strike zone and force pitchers to, ya know, pitch? It's an area you fail more times than not, but good lord we take massive cuts on ugly pitches. While this post surely doesn't seem like it, I generally look towards the positive, but there just isn't much to be happy about. Swore I'd never post, but this club has me reeling...
