Music Suggestions
Green Day: American Idiot Album, Track 2-15...forget the first track, its absolutely pointless. Avenged Sevenfold-Chapter Four...thats my only song from that band I'll listen to... From MVP 2005: The Donots - "We Got The Noise" And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - "Let It Dive" Dropkick Murphys - "Tessie" I really like the sound of The Donots...and I like their voice. Let it dive is the complete reflecting song for emo people. Tessie is a good baseball song. I have recently gotten into the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Rise Against. Also, please, check out this band and tell me what you think... Forever in a Day

Frank to Begin Rehab Assignment Tuesday
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 15, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) We are all about speed, yet we continue to let Konerko, Dye, Everett, and Crede start? They aren't 275 lbs with a bad ankle. They are slow, yes, but they are healthy?

Frank to Begin Rehab Assignment Tuesday
I will only want Frank back if he can prove he can still run on the base paths. I thought we were all about speed. Yes, other teams have slower players in the lineup, however, with his ankle, can he really perform? If we ever see Thomas playing 1st, then we know its bad. Even though it is proven he bats better when he plays in the field.

So....what did you think of Robin?
QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 10, 2005 -> 08:51 AM) I thought he was funny and very informative...much better than he was in ST.... Your avatar...is...so...scrumptious? Ventura cracked me up a few times. He tends to talk over DJ...which is good. I can't stand Darrin Jackson.

Game Thread 5-8-2005 Sox vs Blueballs er Jays
QUOTE(WhiteSox311 @ May 8, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) ok b**** Wow, your so f***ing mature, you jackass. Nuke's right, show some respect, the poor guy could be paralyzed, and you care more about a silly baseball game? We love the Sox, but a person's health means more than our team at times---even if it is the other team!

Game Thread 5-8-2005 Sox vs Blueballs er Jays
My thoughts and prayers go out to Gregg Zaun. That was a real freaky situation. I remember when Hee Seop Choi had a similiar incident like this and he was okay. An ambulance came on the field and everything. I hate neck injuries, they scare me so bad. One blow to the neck and your normal life is over. Gosh, I hope he's okay.

Twins player suspended for Roids
Why are they devastated? The cheating bastards know they did it... Its the league that has lost its credibility...

Garland Haters and Lovers prior to 05'
I think that I am more comfortable with him out there now that we have better defense, since he's a sinkerballer...and I think we're in better shape with him as the 5th starter.

From the MLB Rule Book
Bumping the thread today. It looked like Crede did the same thing as before, and got the base. Rowand getting hit looked similiar as well. Now I see how bogus that call was.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Apr 30, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) 7 years?? I thought you were like 16? Started when I was 10...cuz I wasn't playing because I had hurt my arm. I'm now 17, so I figure its been about 7 years.

Dan McNeil's Contract Situation
AM 1000 is at a cross-roads. I have spoken with Len Weiner, the program director, and he says the Bulls contract was an expensive, bad deal. But he needed to bite onto them to get the White Sox. I think that if they lose Mac, then they lose lots of listeners to the score. Yeah, you could replace him with Golic, just because he's heavy too, which is part of the joke, they are all heavy... Mac is an amazing character, and I don't see why he'd want to leave his co-hosts on the panel...although I do remember him being heated with Harry off the air at one point. Either way, they are all hysterical, and when ESPN lost Kornheiser to TV and change of career, things were different. Juday, Defalco and the younger guys could make for an interesting show too, because they seem to be in the know of what young men want... Possible change with the MJH show compared to the previous 'Huge Show?'

Thomas gets shockwave treatment
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 30, 2005 -> 08:02 AM) Wouldn't there possibly be long - term side effects from doing that? To be honest with you, it does, but in my situation, it didn't. My ball and socket joint was like this too, except in my shoulder. Eventually they numbed me up, and it healed on its own.. I know its not the same, however, it works...no long term affects here.

From the MLB Rule Book
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Now, i know this is hardly ever called. But it's never called because most HBP in question come on pitches where the batter "doesn't make an attempt" to get out of the way and they usually just let it slide. This was drastically different. Not only did he not move, but the pitch wasn't going to hit him. On a really slow curveball, he started his swing, stopped, and dropped his elbow in a blatant attempt to get hit by the pitch. As an umpire (and i have been one for 4 years), you have to call that, period. Otherwise you almost can't call anything if a guy ever gets hit by a ball. Umps made the right call. Flame them all you want for the rest of the series - no arguments there. But this call can't be lumped in with the rest of the series due to bias. As a 7 year veteran umpire, this is the right call. Crede needs to make an effort to get out of the way, period. Similiar situation that I had in my game that had me toss 3 coaches that were arguing with me.

MVP Baseball 2005
Played WSF56789 today and lost in the 5 inning game 3-2 to the Nationals. I was the White Sox. Played him in an unranked game and won...Thomas got the game winning homerun to win it for Shingo Takatsu, 3-2.

MVP Baseball 2005
I just got the game Monday...and I'm still looking for Widger and Ozuna. Got the downloadable rosters. Hopefully going to get my ass kicked by wsf56789 soon... add me to ur friends list and throw me a PM...Uthanak1122 is my name online. Was down 4-1 to cleveland...3 straight walks with wickman...and Thomas belted a grand slam to straight away center.

Allow me to be a Positive Voice...
Like Ozzie says, "go home, get drunk, come out and play again..." Seriously, there's going to be wild games like that one, it happens... That was just an ugly game on both sides, and Oakland came out on top... That balk call was bulls***, and Widger had that runner at home plate. Those are my thoughts.

Sox&Cubs trade rumor

ON CALL - Brandon McCarthy
I would not mind seeing BMac against the Tigers. White Sox rookies coming up usually do well in their first game. Stewart wasn't that bad when he pitched against the Tigers, IIRC.

Frank not ready until all-star break
How do you guys like the re-aquisition of Carl Everett now? Now you see why we dealt 6 minor leaguers in 2 years for him? Thomas coming back wouldn't create the best situation. He can't run...he's not fast, and he doesn't fit our plans. I mean yeah, he's a DH, but still...he'd be a good pinch hitter for any club IMO.
