Watching games on mute has helped.

Peters gets a base hit, Meidroth kills the vibe with a weird bunt attempt and Montgomery continues a strikeout campaign smiling. Unbelievable.

Out of gas is what I thought about pitching the other day and I felt the same way about the offense after getting mostly nothing with the bases loaded the last two games.

They should stop staying celibate for Sean and think about the blowies they could get after the game if they win.

Is the game plan crap around by getting Williams’ pitch count up there and get him out of the game? Then they have to face their closer which isn’t ideal either. Though I think he pitched multiple innings over a few days and Williams pitched in the 9th last game. Doesn’t seem like any of that matters.

That guy was getting a 1998 Jerry West Wrigley Field strike zone.

Also to the White Sox offense, you all kind of died. The bases couldn’t be cleared in the last game and they can’t expect to strike out this much and win a game. I’d love to know what the actual game plan is against Williams, if there is even one.

I am trying to wrap my head around the Sox strategy for pitching. Is it that they lack arms that can go 6+ innings from the start that they get creative with openers, then a guy who goes for several innings and then lock down the later innings? Or is it that they are unpredictable with who will pitch, making other teams have to scout every pitcher and have hitters adjust to the pitcher coming out of the pen?

Could we survive a White Sox loss to the Cubs during our lifetimes?
