  1. BEGOOD is my vote. I love ya man!
  2. Don't forget, he can even play OF and 1B. He is very talented. I wonder if he could be that number five guy in the rotation.
  3. Trade Konerko and Koch! Now! I think Los Angeles might be interested in Konerko, McGriff is a free agent and Konerko is younger and still has a lot upside. I've heard a rumor that the Mets are interested in Billy Koch, if that's the case get what you can from them and trade his ass. CWSOX45 Yeah, plus Konerko has LA Dodger connections...he played catcher for them before being traded in 1997 to the Reds. Who would we trade for Koch though? Isn't it the same GM who brought Kong here, who is now GM at LA or something like that? I believe so, I could be wrong though. Not only that but Konerko was the Dodgers number one draft choice back in 1997. CWSOX45 Dan Evans, an assistant to Ron Schueler for a while was part of the organization for a little while until taking the GM spot over in 2002.

  5. Yes its true, Baseball Tonight lost Bobby Valentine to Free Agency. He has moved on to Japan.
  6. Yes but Kenny Williams will not trade Magglio. Its that simple.
  7. Trade Konerko and Koch! Now!
  8. Magglio's Post season stats

If I could only be senior writer or a mod, dododoododododo
  10. But if we got rid of mags, what would we chant during the game? Paulie wants a cracka? (when paulie is at bat in a close game)-As a white man walks on the field
  11. Thank you for your insight Nokona. Nice to see you on the boards again. I would cry too.
  12. All I know is that Magglio is a fan favorite and the women love him over Konerko now. He is a generous man, and all I can hear in my head now is "Boy we sure do have a RF problem now DJ. This team misses Magglio Ordonez's departure dearly."-Hawk
  13. Yes I agree. Great line.
  14. That is sad. Mark I hope you come back some day bro. I hope none of us had anything to do with your departure. See you soon.
  15. Maybe he could hit Jerry Manuels nuts.
  16. I think we'd get more out of the Konerko and Koch deals though. Keeping Maggs with the players and money acquired means more.
  17. Yes, but Castillo would want more and with Alomar we could get more quanity players than that of a quanity player. I would like to see two links; one of the thread(s) that had been said in and the link of official quotes that it had been said about in. Bottom line, Ozzie Guillen would be more popular with the players IMO.
  18. Salary dump would probably be Konerko...I think if we signed Hawkins in place of Gordo that might help but I'm not sure...
  19. The announcement won't be made tomarrow. I am almost sure of it. I pick Guillen only because it will help the Sox re-sign Alomar and other players via free agency.
  20. Yes, but what choices would there be, Super Steve?
  21. Analyzing the trade I am split on my decision for Magglio. I thought about it a lot today. It would make sense for the Sox to trade him on a few variables. Firstly, I was keeping in mind that trading him would free up a lot of money as (14,000,000=800,000=13,200,000). Mulling such a trade of that magnitude could bring in a lot of new players, in addition to the expected rise from 50 million to 55-60 million dollar payroll. Obviously then Alomar would be useless at 2b and Cito Gaston would be hired. So if all this works in the equation, my verict is to trade Magglio for a top pitching prospect, Nick Johnson, and Alfonso Soriano. But my question is, do the New York Yankees really need any outfielders?

You got it, man. That is the situation. The numbers are there for Soriano, and at a MUCH cheaper price. I am probably in the minority here, but I'm all for that trade. No I believe there are more supporters of Maggs being traded.
