After a single and two walks to load the bases, Montgomery ties the game with a big RBI! ...on a bases loaded HBP. Popeye RBI walk. Ramos gets his RBIs in a flashier way, with a slam to center. 6-1 Barons.

Cannon was perfect through 3, until a bunt single died in no man's land on the 3rd base side grass. Nice throw from Quero nearly nailed the runner, but Popeye just missed the tag/ball. He scored from 2nd on a single two outs later. Barons down 1-0. Nice play from Popeye on the last out:

Brent Honeywell released by the Padres. Wouldn't mind claiming him.

Lee DHing Game 1 for Charlotte.

Nice 6-4-3 turned by Colson and Popeye.

Colson K, Popeye single, Ramos HBP, Quero RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.

Mena on the bump for the Barons, and I'm assuming Quero will get the start at C. Montgomery officially promoted. Ramos back from the IL. The trio of Gonzalez/Harris/Park up to Kanny, so we can actually see them in action. I know everyone is refreshing deadline news, but there's some fun stuff to watch after too.

Update:

He was the starting catcher for the DSL all star game yesterday, so maybe just rest? Abraham Nunez was also there, though not as a starter.

Colson is finally headed to Bham. Gonzalez, Park, and Harris to Kanny.

I'm personally quite enamored with Beutel. The stuff doesn't jump off the page, but the results do. Rooting for him. Also want to shout out Mason Adams, who has quietly been the best(?) pitcher in Kanny for most of the year. 3.5 ERA and 12 K/9 through 71.2IP in 16 appearances.

Not sure if he's eligible for the current signing period, but we have a good amount of money left if so...

Strong start for Cousin in WS, 5IP, 1R (unearned), 2H, 1BB, 4K. A Colson-less WS offense has been held scoreless through 6.

Kanny game called early for rain, they win 2-1. I imagine WS will be called too, for a 6-1 loss. The run was an Elko solo shot. The only other WS baserunner was a Kath single. Knights win 6-2. Parke actually looked good? 5IP, 5K, 1BB, 2H, 1ER on a solo HR. Lambert went 2IP, 2K, also 1ER on a solo shot. One assumes he'll be up back soon.

Schultz turns in 4IP, 3H, 3K, 0R.

Hack getting the start in Charlotte. Schultz on the bump for Kanny. Bush (I assume?) on the bump in Bham. Fun stuff.

Also nabs his first RBI on a sac fly (scoring Park, naturally). I feel like Park is going to be a lot of fun. A walk, a hit, a pair of steals, and an OF assist tonight.
